I think a voice changer mod applied to all the hero’s voices would be a great addition to the April fools shenanigans. Perhaps randomized each match? Since there are so many good ones it could be hard to choose.

I think that would be a hilarious arcade mode—I imagine competitive players would get pretty upset at having unclear voice cues causing them to misplay.
(i.e. you hear the enemy Mercy yell something, you think it’s Valk, but nope, it’s their Pharah raining justice on your face and you failed to react to it)
Doomfist - squeaky chipmunk voice
Mei - the booming chords of James Earl Jones
Bastion - beeps in telephone dial tones
Genji - normal, but random words are bleeped out like he’s swearing
Reinhardt - a soft, sultry woman’s voice
Zenyatta - a baseball radio announcer, complete with sound effects
Junkrat - a posh London accent
D.Va - yells in a Scottish accent, peppered with angry, unintelligible slang and Gaelic
Tracer - just makes sound effects, like Harpo Marx
Edit: Just make the whole cast talk like pirates
Post-edit: What if you could unlock and equip voice packs? Packs give heroes different voice lines for their abilities, kills, respawn, etc. Ultimate lines stay the same, or are changed but have the same “sound” to them (like Hanzo’s wolf skin). Common packs just change up a few lines (maybe you’re tired of D.Va’s cringey gamer slang), while rarer packs change the whole character, and possibly even the voice (such as making Roadhog an Italian opera singer).
Sees Mercy flying towards him for some much-needed healing
“YOU SHOULD TRY MY MEATBALLS!”
Jumps off nearest cliff
Sees Tracer saying “BEER!” in Reinhardt’s voice whenever she blinks
“Go home Oxton, you’re drunk.”

I wouldn’t mind it being a mode that people could opt into.
Me personally I’m not a fan of april fools ( call me whatever you like. I don’t care).
I actually resorted to playing only PTR for the last april fools because they never added them stupid eyes onto the characters on PTR.
