Visor.gg is bad here's why

Or perhaps a timer to remind myself to check mentally what ults they have. It does nothing above 2000sr I don’t know why people are scared

Yes, but it helps you to learn to track these things. you will never learn on your own ( or maybe very slowly). you can watch VODs streams and other videos, but i see it as a teaching program and not something that does stuff for you

I don’t because it helps break tunnel vision, which is something everyone falls prey too and is a mistake that an enemy should be able to capitalize on. The mistakes you make should be able to be capitalized on by your enemy, and that’s how you should learn. Not a computer program that’s available 24/7 telling you.

You can learn on your own. I’ve gotten pretty good at it.

My aim, awareness, and reaction times are all garbage or I’d be higher. But I generally know when an enemy is gonna ult before they do.

So lower ranks don’t deserve to have a fair competitive environment then? Is that what you’re saying?

Also to all the people saying that the program isn’t even all that accurate (yet): a bad aimbot is still banned, whether or not a cheat works doesn’t really matter.

that mekes 0 sense, how an aimbot that misses 100% of your shot is cheating. cheating is gaining advantage unfairly. how are you gaining advantage from an aimbot that misses everything ?

For the same reason attempting to smuggle a ham out of a supermarket, only for it to fall out your blouse in front of a cashier is still gonna get you in trouble for shoplifting.

You tried it.

but there is no ham in my blouse if i miss every shot

There is, that ham was all up on your chest the moment you shoved it down there. Just like the moment you installed the aimbot and booted up the game, you were trying to cheat.

I had an idea to steal, but i never managed to get the ham in to the blouse. nonetheless, there is just not enough room in OW to improve yourself. no replay system, no stats comparison. and that just makes me sad. when people spent a lot of hours in a game and they still sit in the same rank tier from season 3. thats way this game feels so not rewarding and matches often feel very unbalanced.

It’s actually pretty garbage to use.

If you installed a cheat and booted it up, that is an active attempt to cheat. It is not just an idea. The moment you install an aimbot on your computer, and used it in game, you have attempted to cheat. It doesn’t matter if you are then unsuccessful, you have passed the idea phase and made an attempt.

Even if it’s seen as not cheating, it’s likely that you will get banned just because the anti-cheat system. I have no clue how it’s injected, but it is possible. So like any 3rd party tool use it at your own risk, but at the end it’s the overwatch team that will have to research it and decide if it is or isn’t cheating.

That’s why I am saying that it won’t probably will be seen as cheat, since Blizzard allows this type of stuff in all of their other games (as mantions before WOW, Hearthstone etc)

As a master/GM having Visor would just be hindering. All it does is scan your screen for info that you with the least bit of gamesense should already have. It pointing out that the enemy is close to a ult is VERY obvious!

I don’t think its cheating since all it does is remind you of very basic info that you already have.

People in bronze don’t have that very basic info though. For one bronze player to be using the program against another bronze player is really unfair. I don’t think anyone’s concerned about GMs using it for an advantage, but for the lower ranks it is a very real concern.

Im happy if it helps Bronze players improve. And after maybe a week or two of visor they will keep all that stuff in mind and take the training wheels off. Since its just educated guesses on what the enemy team is up to its fine imo

So cheating is okay if it (maybe) helps them improve? It’s super unfair for the other people playing in that rank who aren’t using training wheels in competitive play.

Is having your teammate remind you to use your ult cheating? Maybe the enemy didn’t have a teammate that reminded them?

There is NOTHING in this program that does anything for you. It just a reminder if VERY basic info that is avalable for all players. If you are new or very bad visor can help you get a grip on how OW plays. Its not super obvious to new players how teamfights work and how fast ults are charging.

I don’t need a program to remind me that “Hey enemy Rein has not used ult in 2 minutes, watch out!” Becuase I know that! by just paying attention.

That’s your teammate. Not an external program. The teammate made an important contribution to the match.

Then they didn’t deserve to win.

If you don’t have the game sense to know when ults are charging and how teamfights work, you shouldn’t have a program giving you instructions to make up for that during comp matches. Because that would be cheating.

And you’re in a really high rank because you have both mechanics and game sense. Just because the program wouldn’t be useful to you doesn’t make it any less unfair when it comes to lower ranks where that kind of awareness of ults isn’t something everybody has.

in short, visor is a wall hack for game sense, which is one of the skills required to get better at the game.

so, visor is definitely cheating and it’s the perfect tool for those geniuses that leave voice and play overwatch single player, without calls or coordination.

if someone wants to get coaching he/she doesn’t get to have it live during a competitive game, especially in the form of an external software telling that person who’s got ultimate or not, giving people info they shouldn’t have for certain about the game unless they have good game sense or keep up efficient comms.

it’s a variation of that overlay that enhanced the red color of the opposite team’s character model outline, it’s not showing nothing that’s not already on screen it’s just making it more evident.

and the people using it are most likely desperate and pathetic
