Venture's voice

anyone else feel like their voice sounds a bit too chidlish, I was expecting Like Venti from genshin Impact or maybe an older Jimmy Neutron. But Venture sounds like they’re still in Middle school.

kind of but i am sure the voice actor is of age right? or are they suppose to be a kid?

we havnt gotten a background story yet. i am curious if we will get an origin short.

i know they are archeologist, that sounds cool. i am sure to be an archeologist you have to have some college background or something lol?!

It definitely sounds like they tried to make their voice as mid as possible. It sounds like Junker queens voice but higher pitch.

Jimmy Neutron is actually spot on.

It’s the being on the edge of cracking all the time. Makes it sound immature.

Not… super enamored with it.

Yeah but It goes with dva’s whole kawaii Gamer girl design. But Venture’s whole desgin makes them seem more mature then their voice gives off

Your point has changed my attitude because I was thinking she is intellectually handicapped and thus has problems with speech. Sorry about that.

Thank you!

I find her voice is grating to me. Like Mei on crack.

They do sound childish, but to me, that’s so perfect. I think people might sort of unintentionally expecting a gender neutral voice because Venture identifies as gender neutral. But Venture is a person… (A fictional person, yes ,for you party poopers) but just like gender neutral people are actually real people.

And this person, Venture, has a lot of adorable, child-like features… Messy hair, sort of ADHD, loves ice cream, keeps forgetting the ice cream gives you a brain freeze headache and takes another lick of the ice cream because it’s so good…

I think the devs are building their character really well… Sort of just one of those super-positive people to be around, sort of a clumsy klutz in a cute way, messy, dirty but happy kid that grew up playing outside so much that they turned it into their career and they do what makes them happy…

I know that kind of person IRL and I love that kind of person, in fact, even tho I’m rather OCD myself (not messy at all), they are actually my favorite kind of person

So my point is, Venture is just Venture… Someone not trying to be anyone else but Venture… and if their voice is high, they don’t care… and if their hair is messy, they don’t care… They aren’t someone that tries to be or sound like anyone else but themselves.

In that way, I think their voice is such a perfect fit, because it’s just them, and that’s that

I LOVE this hero. I love the innocent, kind-spirited, positive, child-at-heart-forever, fun, goofball person that they are.

Yeah, they’re definitely giving “squeaker”. I think they look and sound like a generic dubbed shonen protagonist, essentially a 12 year old boy. Appearance wise, I’ve referred to them as “Shonen Oscar Isaac” as that’s what I see in their face. Voice/personality somewhat reminds me of a less edgy/more upbeat Ava from Borderlands 3 and therefore kinda makes me want to drive my head through a wall. Recent characters voices and lines have been VERY hit or miss, mostly misses I feel(Ram is GOATed though, I personally think one of the best in the entire roster).

It’s Sodium Chloride.

Venture’s voice is fine…

its growing on me actually…

The voice is fine, I think what caught more my attention is that they gave a full-on scale Quebecer VA for the French version of the game.

That is impressive in itself because Quebecers’ French genuinely gets no representation in a ton of games. Venture sounds 100% better in French ironically, but their English counterpart is 100% fine imo.

I mean, they all sound like cartoons.
