Venture is visually unappealing

My opinion:

3d model looks great to me and I like it. But I have to admit, the half missing teeth still feels a little unsettling. It’s not the ugliness issue, something just feels “off” about it. Chipped teeth aside, I think the character looks great in my opinion. Characters doesn’t have to look “attractive” for me to want to play them. I’m still going to play venture and the chipped teeth isn’t going to stop me from that.

Another thing I’m not too fond of the character’s looks when you press tab as well as when it’s shown in killfeed. I feel like the visual of that was rushed or something, it just doesn’t look aligned to the rest of Overwatch character.

I think Venture is okay. It’s the flame neck tat and coat that drag the whole outfit down. Idk what to say about the tattoo other than some designers are stuck in the 90s. And the coat is too bulky and clashes with the OW style bulk boots ala Mei. Except Mei’s outfit flowed better for both OW1 and 2. Maybe the boots can be slimmed down a bit.

PFft, Oh nose, a character specifically designed not to be a runway model with bouncing cleavage. How is the world ever suppose to survive.

But in other news they remind me Disney’s atlantis film. And design wise would fit right in with the rest of the adventuring crew.

So personally I’m really loving it.

I thought ae were talking about Venture, not Sojourn?

Venture is like Mei and Lucio’s love child… I see a little bit of both with her design

Or would she be the love child between Lucio and Zarya… oh the choices

Im not bullying her, it’s just when I think of illari all i really know is she’s peruvian, pretty good at like fighting or wrestling or whatever it was
and that she just doesn’t like like, anyone
like thats it thats all I get from her in game interactions and stuff

If you have a kink for getting stepped on maybe.

Personally, I preferred getting drilled

just adding on to this idk why people are saying they aren’t visually appealing like sure their face looks pretty odd and their model looks, off? but the actual design and aesthetic is executed pretty well, they look like some kind of weird future archeologist, exactly what they were tryna pull off

just cuz they aren’t conventionally attractive like 80% of the ow cast shouldnt make them “visually unappealing”

The colors and design is really bland compared to the very distinct design and personalities of the Atlantis film.

I would take the manic OCD of Mole over this discount westernized shonen protagonist any day.

I think I can survive until Space Ranger, thank you for your concern…Unless they make her as rude as Kiriko.

So my original post was flagged by people who believe their world view and opinions are the only ones that matter and should be allowed. I’m happy to say the post was very quickly restored. Just a friendly reminder you do not have the moral authority to dictate what people can and cannot say. If you don’t like my opinion, then say why or move on.

We talking Wish or Temu kind of discount?

They look like a child, so I’m going to go with Temu given their primary workforce.

I agree I would take the manic OCD mole… at least he was entertaining

Can’t give France too much representation, though, the one French femme fatale has more backstory/character to her than both Canadians combined. I feel bad for Canadians right now, honestly…They really do deserve better.

Where is our Italian rep, tho? Where is our Vinny?

I honestly would love an Irish or Scottish Hero

I saw someone’s concept depiction of an axe-wielding Scottish lumberjack on here somewhere. It was…It was a valiant effort.

I don’t think Venture is ugly or mediocre at all. The design aesthetic definitely reminds of turn of the century sci-fi action anime like Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop or Trigun, if you haven’t seen those shows you definitely should for context, even the voice acting takes me back to that golden age of anime. It’s a quirky combination of bright chirpy charm, baggy clothes and heavy grungy mechanics.

???

Dude most of the main cast, like the actual crew of the sub were wearing very mute colors. A lot of brown, tan, grey, military greens, faded blues, black.

The main character has basically the same color scheme. Give or take a few shades of brown.

It’s specifically designed to clash with the colorful natives of atlantis.
