Venture is really really strong like ok

Yeh venture is cool and all but lets not pretend she isn’t deleting tanks too fast and isn’t also doing the same to dps. I feel like this heroes damage is just a bit too much and i have been playing her non stop but yeh.

Just stand a little further away from her. They are utterly useless if they can’t get close.

I still think her ult is kinda powerful tanks can’t get away from it and two hits and your done

I played about 9/10 games last night. They were in everyone but I never saw them dominate anything.

Don’t even remember seeing the ult being used.

But, that’s why Lucio is so important right now. Venture needs to be close, so you can either speed them in or if on the enemy speed boost your team to help them put a little distance between them.

I agree it does too much. It has too much mobility without a chance of damaging it and then does a ton of dmg and escapes.

Remember how fun doom was?
Now it’s venture and ball or venture and doom, yay…

venture is low tier trash, if you cant destroy her, then thats on you. literally all you have to do is stand 16m away and she cant touch you. very simple strats

its not about not being able to destroy her its her destroying everyone else she is overpowered.

yeah not sure what genius dev decided she’s balanced for ranked, but i want what they are smoking as it seems to be good stuff.
despite her weapon range she can easily get in ones face to delete a target with minimal effort, and offer little to no reaction time. her TTK is stupidly high even compared to sombra who is a better reference due to the similar attack style.

Unlike sombra she has no real tradeoffs. in that sombra is squishy, she isn’t, she is even more durable than other heroes with shields. so there is no real risk to playing deep and just farming enemy supports that don’t stand a chance.

given that her left clicks are easy to hit just adds to the annoyance. while i cant find her exact numbers yet, comparing something like if she dove on Baptiste as the fire rate seems to be the same as each of his bursts, he would be dead before getting a chance to do a third burst. as he would have to make sure each shot in the burst was crit to even stand a chance, while vent just face and slaps the keyboard like a chimpanzee. Granted there are other heroes some say are just as basic but they lack the damage or affected by CDs and often a combo of abilities not just left click.

So I think to follow that course of logic, these could be some solutions

  • Either reduce her HP or shields, or change explorers resolve to not increase shields but temporarily buff the weapon after damaging a target with burrow or drill dash
  • Her primary fire takes a nose dive, like down possibly even reduce rate
    of fire slightly. ie more time between shots
  • as a trade off, Burro and Drill dash remain as they are but instead of granting more shield. if burrow or Drill Dash hit a target the primary fire is buffed instead. like the next 1 or 2 shots, do more damage.

this does not change her play style it just makes it more reward, and give the target a bit of a fighting chance if able. so it give Venture a little more player expression

look I’m actually ok with everything around venture, but I just learned she has a kill combo with auto dash auto melee. if they could somehow work around her hp pool to give this a little more counterplay I feel like I’d be happy.

but most players aren’t landing that insta kill. so it would feel like to gutting her for players who are using her around her average potential. I feel like she shield passive is really nice.

so it’s a weird spot for me, I think the hero is fun for people and don’t want it to be nerfed, but damn getting deleted in near perfect position with a pocket is a tough to accept when it happens

The issue is that she risks nothing to get into position for a kill while having a consistent and easy to land kill combo. The only risk she runs is that she is too out of position to get out of dodge right after the combo, but thats pretty easy to avoid as long as you don’t try to surface in front of the entire enemy team. It’s similar in a way to old roadhog hook.

The probability you secure a kill should always be proportional to the risk. The higher the risk, the greater the skill required to consistently pull it off.
