Venture has too much in her kit

Venture has too much in her kit. She has a ranged attack, melee, she hides underground, flys, boops, and her ult is like four shatters that actually kill. Was this a dreamsheet and the devs went crazy? How about she gets realized as a dps that has to burrow in, takes skill to get melee kills and successfully get out, instead of one that comes exploding out of the earth, flys up to the high ground, drills into someone, shoots everyone in the backline with their ranged weapon and safely goes back undergroud 5 seconds later. I play Cassidy. He rolls and throws a stick of dynamite. This is ridiculous.

Bro this is what I’ve been saying since first seeing them. Their kit does literally everything you want. They have mid-range AOE on their primary that they can just spam all game dealing constant and consistent damage, they have burst damage close range abilities both of which can be used as runaways or for more mobility (which both give shield on USE, you don’t even need to hit with it and you just get free shield) both of these abilities have way too short of cooldowns considering how versatile they are too, burrow is a straight up cleanse and has no way of being cancelled out once in the ground (so you can get out of any ult in the game that doesn’t remove your movement abilties and quite frankly using an entire Mauga ult just to keep just one damage hero from running away isn’t really worth), they have a better melee than every other hero in the game besides Zen, and then to top it off they gave them Rein’s shatter but it has 4 charges and can actually kill (doesn’t stun though, but why would you need to stun them if they just die instead). Each season they add a new hero they progressively dumb-down the gameplay and over-kit them. Venture is not a melee-based hero, venture is a do-everything-hero and its horrible for the game. Blizzard just wants its player base to hold down left click, look at the other team, and spam abilities off cooldown, and play in the most braindead way possible. No skill involved, no team coordination, no thoughts needed, just run in and start pressing buttons. This game is just too boring and braindead now. I quit.

Realistically, 2 things bother me in Ventures kit. Drill dash dealing that ridiculous knockback displacing the heck out of you is awful to deal with as any squishy in the game. Other thing is, they nerfed Genjis damage so he couldn’t run rampant one shotting people with his combo but make a character that has a combo that can one shot 250hp heroes no effort when he couldn’t. If you’re caught by surprise, you’re erased without any time to react.

The trade off is that the character’s max range is 20m, Only abilities are drill dash and the underground movement, and they can easily be stopped when using those abilities (cast time and positioning). She isn’t hard to play against if you are aware of the underground movement.

Also, no? The underground thing is annoying, especially when contesting, but the rest of their kit is fine.

Drill Dash is used to finish off combos or for mobility, it typically can’t do both and Venture is out of both if they use it once.

Then they’re main attack has a fixed range and they don’t even have an ‘E’ ability.
