Vendetta still needs changes

Seriously? You gave a hero with a block that reduces not just projectile damage, but ALL incoming damage by 75%, a hitbox the size of widow, gave her the mobility of tracer, burst damage not only more consistent than but greater numerically than reaper, and ON TOP OF THAT, gave that very same hero armor.

Vendetta can survive a self destruct standing right next to it as long as she’s blocking and no other hero in the game can do that without a barrier.

Oh, just get good? It shouldn’t take diamond+ level mechanics to take down a plat player on vendetta.

Not to mention for those who complained about nano blade: Her entire kit is everything you had a problem with, on COOLDOWNS.

Genji? Bait deflect. Tracer? flashbang as Cass or helix as Soldier. Anran? Predictable movement. Vendetta? Your entire team has to turn around to deal with her and if you’re in a 1v1, DO NOT MISS A SINGLE SHOT! You can helix her or flashbang her as much as you’d like, she’ll still beat you in said matchup if you whiff a single shot. What kind of skill check is that? “You don’t play at a pro level, so you’re getting punished for it.” Seriously? And to top it all off, she’s gotten 3 consecutive nerfs that have done NOTHING to address the problems people have with her kit.

Where in the world is that considered even remotely balanced?

utterly wrong

cooldowns, but also tracer literally goes farther with all 3 blinks so its still wrong

burst damage is great if you get the kill, but unless you have max onslaught stacks reaper does substantially more consistent dps

this is hilariously wrong and you literally already mentioned 2 heroes that can survive it point blank with no barrier: tracer - recall, reaper - wraith form

now if you have gold mechanics, then maybe a plat vendetta will give you trouble

if this were the case vendetta would be able to w key into the enemy team and 1v5 every single time

no matter how much you hate this hero, im certain you know deep down that vendetta is not capable of doing that

all flankers that are more viable than vendetta and die far less often

anran is only as predictable as the player piloting her, the same goes for any mobile hero in the game

first of all, if you are separated from your team to the point where you are completely isolated, then your positioning is poor

but even more than that, many heroes do not have to 1v1 her, 90% of the roster can either cc her or create distance or (if youre a tank) flat out stat check her to death

well, you can call anything a skill check if you really wanted to, at the end of the day this game is about killing them before they kill you

whoever kills the fastest wins, it really is that simple

if youre mad that vendetta killed you too fast, then take a minute to think “why” and try to understand what happened

She’s A tier, let’s not giga nerf the only good melee hero into the ground like we did with DPS doom cause people can’t learn to play around her.

i remember i was fighting a vendetta with maybe 20 hp left at best , i was playing zen , i launched 3 orbs + 2 kicks , she didn’t died because she was blocking , what the absolute BIG F is that ??

doom at least is big and easy to shoot , vendetta is thin

Doom also exploded to any cc as a dps and he still got nerfed into the ground lol.

You guys want boring poke heroes to be strong and cry whenever melee heroes get a chance to be good.

Where are the nerfs to sojourn ashe etc?? are they just allowed to be strong because you find them less annoying lol.

i dont doubt that, doesnt bother me much since she is already at the point where she isnt viable anyways, i just play her for fun now as a quickplay warrior

i have said this before, but even if she was nerfed so badly that she is unplayable people would still complain and she would still be perma banned in comp

sombra was never on top of the meta, yet she is a historically hated hero that was always banned in comp despite not ever being that strong

She’s at the top, if not in the top 3, highest winrates across all ranks, across all roles, and across all regions. She is either competing with or beating Domina in terms of percentage.

She’s a melee hero bringing a sword to a gun fight in a game full of ranged options. I have no trouble with Vendetta playing Juno. Or on DPS I play Anran, genji and tracer, I can out-mobility her easily.

Vendetta runs scared as soon as I set her on fire. She backs out of the engagement if I even remotely look like I’m going to be more trouble than I’m worth chasing me around on Juno with my glide booster and speed ring.

You know what happens to Echo when she uses her flight and jumps someone and messes up / doesnt hit her shots / is in a bad position? She dies, thats also what should happen to Vendetta. But nope she got a block ability for these situations like Doomfist - a tank. If you dont see anything wrong with it, its because you are clearly biased.

Losing a 1v1 because you missed one single shot while your opponent is constantly hitting you without fail to the tune of 230 damage per swing set regardless of your movement is not a fair matchup in the slightest.

And if you want to play the “just use distance card”, she can easily close the gap with both of her cooldowns, forcing you to use yours, and then closing the gap AGAIN with the second one.

EXACTLY, same should be true for Vendetta /duh. That was my whole point, she doesnt need block like a tank.

Positioning/timing issue.

Juno Vs Vendetta, both heroes have 2 mobility CDs. If Vendetta dives me, I listen out for dubsteppy sword sounds as she’s going in the air to use the first one.

By the time she’s on me, she has one mobility CD left, while I’m still mid glide boost. This is when she usually turns around and quits chasing. If she doesn’t quit chasing, she uses her spinny to continue the chase, then I’m throwing down speed ring and running. Her CDs are not better mobility than Juno’s. I get away every single time, and if I don’t, it’s because I didn’t react to her dubsteppy sword sounds soon enough. It’ll be my fault if I die to her.

Moira doesn’t need an orb with her extremely forgiving primary.

Sombra doesn’t need virus on top of her hack (opportunist passive).

Junkrat doesn’t need 2 mines, or the inability to damage himself.

Venture doesn’t need a 5-in1.

Yet, they all remain.
