She went from a 56% winrate in GM to 52.9% as of right now.
Just reduce the hitbox size (its length) of her sword by 30%.
devs “lets make a melee hero as strong as reaper with the movement of doomfist, also f it lets give her a ton of armor and one of the best ults” are the devs ok? vacation? just make her a tank at this point. like how does sym exist in the same universe as this abomination?

Ok, but perhaps we should consider the other 99.3% of the player-base and not just GM? Maybe others have an opinion that should matter as well?

Silver: 55.7% (1st)
Gold: 55.2% (1st)
Plat: 54.5% (1st)
Diamond: 53.6% (1st)
Master: 53.4% (2nd)
GM+: 52.9% (3rd)
QP: 54.2% (3rd - but behind symm and torb who are always 1&2 in QP when heroes not broken)
For 96.3% of the comp player-base she is the top DPS by win-rate. So yeah, let’s balance her based on that other 3.7% where she is “only” 2nd and 3rd top win-rate. That makes a lot of sense.
Her playstyle is very anti-low and mid ranks because she has so much mobility once she is in your face that most of the player-base find her extremely hard to deal with and, in plat at least, she can dive into a team and confirm 3 kills regularly then just die because she got her picks. Her design is not healthy for most of the player-base.
Reaper is the new Genji with reaper players claiming he is bad constantly yet he has the 3rd highest win-rate in QP and 4th highest in Comp for All Tiers. I wish my hero was as “bad” as reaper is! It sounds awful having to play the hero with the 4th highest win-rate. How do you cope?
Vendetta is almost like Pharmercy situation before, very hard to balance around. She can combo with Zarya bubble so well, so if she is decent on her own, she will be OP if played with a Zarya.

that’s like saying “we should choose our street’s speed limits based on the top speed of the five fastest exotic supercars in the world” when everyone else is driving a toyota corolla.
it’s super great that YOU can hit 0-60 in 2.3 seconds, meanwhile the rest of us are struggling to hit that ten seconds after taking off.
Obviously people who play in that rank care. And games should be balanced around the top Few %, not specifically gm. Heroes should be balanced based on what they are capable of, not what an average player can do on them.
And clearly your road example is completely different from a video game. Where one of the primary concerns is safety. Now if you’re arguing the rules in like F1 should be made around the best racers, then fair enough, it is the highest level anyways.
why would you want to balance around what are essentially niche cases?
The amount of people who can play at a GM/T500 level is so low that it’s almost margin of error territory.

I did say top few %, that is not specifically gm/top 500. And heroes should be balanced on what they the hero is capable of. Not what the average player can do on the hero. As balance breaks at that point once you have better players on the heroes, balanced around people who cannot fully utilize the hero.

she was overpowered before, now i think shes in a decent spot. shes a niche hero for a niche audience. people who commit themselves to learning her will find success, people who play her bc she used to be a free win just by sheer trading power and mobility will not see success. id say this is exactly the right philosophy for her.

You have a tinier window than the average dive but that can be learned. If something had to be done, maybe her E can be less clunkier.

the problem with this philosophy is: your data about “what the hero is capable of” in the top percentiles of game is biased towards the optimal playstyle. not only from people playing the hero in question but from all the rest.
for example: if devs conclude that vendetta is fine because the top1% plays around her sucessfully but 99% of people have a miserable time and even the top1% would rather ban that hero because they are annoying to deal with (even if its doable), thats not great. your job as a dev should always be to analize the data holistically and watch as much gameplay as you can, from all elos. figure out the pain points of a hero the community widely agrees is either too strong or extremely tedious to play against, then change the hero so they are both rewarding and fair. you cant take any shortcuts here if your goal is a game that feels fair and rewarding to master.
