With every support ultimate you feel like you saved your team or helped them engage but with Valk I don’t have that feeling.

Also infinite flight + GA is fun as hell, especially when there are sneaky flankers making a move on your butt.

also dont forget you can heal multiple people if they are close to each othere. also you get 60hp/s

I think you’re SEVERELY underestimating Valkyrie’s power here.
You can fly back to spawn a lot faster with it when your teammates die because you can’t heal enough.

I think Valk is probably best used on Attack.
But people are trying to use it like a Zen Ult.

Yes.
Even when used on attack your team will still die. I think I’ve played Mercy long enough to know 60 HP/s does not equal 300 HP/s.
Team still dies. Valkyrie is trash. Next question.

Then you’re not using it correctly. Cause as much as i played, 98% of my Valkyries saved my team.

I don’t find it saves my team, but it presses an advantage really well to stop things dragging out, and turns marginal fights into wins.
It also saves my own backside frequently as well.
I definitely get value from it though.

this is more a visual/audio design problem imo. Valk is stronger than nano in most situations for example. Its a really high impact ability with loads of carry potential. Compare it to coalescence where even when your damage is pathetic vs say a fortified orisa in armour you still feel really powerful.
I think that’s a big reason y valk isn’t that fun

His ult is so good…but my team never uses it.
Oh this window amplifies my damage and healing? Meh, I’m gonna stand in front of it or walk around it.
It’s okay to find Valkyrie unfun, but trying to claim that it’s the worst ultimate when Baptiste’s window exists is not right.
Mercy can give 30% damage boost to 6 people…how is that bad? A lot of the people complaining about Valkyrie are just using it as a way to heal…which is a really poor use of the ultimate in most situations.
My team usually get murdered standing behind it, even with IF up. Or they hide because they don’t want to get murdered, or the enemy team hide so no one can get LOS through it to them. It’s really easily avoided, best just used to drop at your feet and spam healing through.
It’s because Valkyrie was created to work with rez. Now it doesn’t, so it’s power is determined by shot calling as you can damage boost everyone and see health bars.

It’s better than Rally imo.
I’m pretty sure that the fact that one has to avoid so many other enemy ults (i.e. wait until the enemy doesn’t have them) in order for valk to get value and not be a waste (because it’d get trumped otherwise) is a pretty indicative of how little carry potential valk has… let alone other aspects or comparisons to be made

I find Valkyrie to be very powerful during Overtime fights on point. I save my ult for the last fight. its pretty effective. But if your team gets gravved or shattered…rip.
