I loved the new hanaoka map, it was so much fun. was so exited to see it in comp this season but… its like the devs completely forgot they made the map. Its nowhere to be seen and not a word on when we could expect it. I mean the map is literally finished and it not in either QP or Comp; so is clash scrapped or?

For what I have read, it will be there at the end of the year.
Knowing OW team, they will make it an OW2 anniversary launch event in october and pat themselves in the back that’s it’s so great content, ignoring that they brought barely nothing the 9 months before.

There should be 2 maps on launch, so it still needs some time to bake.
This is the same dev team that outright removed the entire assault game mode because people whined about it. I’m surprised they’re holding on to Push and Flashpoint as long as they are because people hate those modes, too.

Assault was very one sided and forced one team to almost always win.
just wish theyd atleast let us play the map since it’s finished and there is no logical reason for the map not to be playable seeing as it was temporarily playable A YEAR AGO!
Removing entire modes only harms players. Removing modes and replacing them with modes that people still complain about is just foolish.
And make no mistake, you’d play assault. You’d be annoyed, you’d mention how its one sided, but you’d play more matches than you’d quit.

They actually never said when it was coming, but season 12 is a fair assumption.
What is your source on this? As far as I’m aware they never specified?
IIRC They announced in same post that contains 1st colosseo rework announcement, but some weird reason just disappeared entire post in OW2 news webiste https://overwatch.blizzard.com/en-us/news/
Re-watched the Blizzcon 2023 announcement for it and read the news post for clash, just sorta mentions after season 11. With further old map reworks coming after season 12. So i think people just naturally put clash into the middle there at season 12.
If I had to make a guess, they’re working on additional maps, before they officially drop a totally new mode, so it’s not just the one.
The map was bad and needed adjustment. I’m thankful for the extra time because I absolutely hated the mode and am not looking forward to it. I’d be very happy if they never add it, but it’s always supposed to have been a Season 12 addition from the start.
