That is not proof of your innocence. That just means they picked two examples of things you said that may not be that big of a deal. We do not know what else you said, which could include hundreds of other completely inappropriate things over the course of weeks.

I’m by no means suggesting support is good, and if this is not a bot it could very easily be someone churning through tickets and just decided to pick the two first two things that popped up from the report list.

But it does make them look bad in the public eye, Perhaps drag microshaft into it as they own blizz now. They won’t take kindly to getting dragged into something like that.

Bro should know by now that there are people being unfairly banned by the autobot system.

Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

how the report list work is theres no list just your chat log and you can see it if you request your data so they have to scroll through your messages to find things, only time it actually gives a real chat logi is if you report a voicechat during a match

Im sure there are false bans, but you have to be reasonable.

“My accounts keep getting banned! I didnt say anything!” is not someone being falsely banned.

These topics pop up all the time and most of the time the person reveals their true colors mid way through the thread and it becomes painfully obvious why they were banned. Heck, half the time the people provide the examples from support which literally include evidence of them being guilty. they are just clueless that they’re being toxic.

we are reasonable, just cause something never happened to you doesnt mean it doesnt happen

I personally got banned for two whole weeks and the support team responded to my appeal and secondary one I made to get further clarification about what exactly I did just to be told to refer to the email sent to me(which was just a rewording of the communication section of the code of conduct with nothing else included), the code of conduct, and the licensing agreement both times fully disregarding anything I said in both the description of the post and a nearly 3 page pdf document I spent an hour to write that I included. And in the one where I asked for clarification just to get told I need to just read the above once more and the end of the email said, " We now consider this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion on the subject. " right underneath a blatantly broken link that just sends you to a 404 page showing how little they actually care about responding to the player base. Not once was I given any information about exactly what I did or said which I think should be mandatory if the offense is supposedly bad enough to warrant a full suspension. At least your response had some examples of what was said I didn’t even get that much. It feels like people will report others for anything nowadays and if the lobby decides to mass report you for trying to get others to actually play the game, you get fully banned for it.
provided below is the link sent to me in an official blizzard support email which may work in browser, but through the email it goes directly to a 404 page. It’s unfathomable to me how unprofessional blizzard is being.

Nothing has ever happened to me. Or… literally anyone else I know that plays the game regularly. Or the vast majority of people here on the forum.

But yes, you’ve had multiple accounts banned, including a permaban, but its definitely not you. You’re just unfairly being targeted and false reported for no reason at all.

It’s probably already been stated but:

You can’t rightfully make fun of other players anymore. If it can even REMOTELY be interrupted as an insult, then it’s punished.
You’re only allowed to say nice things that make players feel good about their ineptitude and lacking. Happy feelings and silt. Oh, and no profanity. Profanity makes people uncomfortable. Bad language makes for bad feelings and such.

Just watch Robocop 2 and see how the main character is reprogrammed to be more friendly. That’s how they want you to behave.

That’s surely the case for some people, but doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone.

The system or people looking at the reports, would pick those more toxic messages more often, but these nothing burger messages appear again and again as more time passes.

But to support your argument, Possibly it’s voice chat too being monitored that doesn’t show up in the reasons from blizzard?

But I suspect its both. So i wouldn’t just assume op is toxic and rightfully banned. This is a problem happening across all actiblizzard shooters.

I also suspect some regions may contain more players that are trigger happy in the report system and more fraudulent reports happen. Im in OCE so i doubt there’s as many false reporters in Aus as some other countries, I’ve never been banned and i bite back at toxicity when I see it.

If something truly heinous was said you would think that those would be the provided examples rather than “things you said that may not be that big of a deal”, no?

that latest reply you made just tells me your opinion on this doesnt matter

It doesnt really matter whether you value my opinion or not. It’s not really that hard to apply the most basic statistical principles to realize that it’s not normal to get multiple accounts banned and not play a role in why.

It doesnt have to be heinous, it could just be continued remarks that people feel are inappropriate.

Also like I said, I’m not suggesting support is doing a good job. I absolutely would believe they just picked the first two examples they could find even if there were plenty of better ones just to close out the ticket faster.

I just do not believe for a second that he’s as innocent as he suggests. The vast vast majority of people will go their entire OW careers without even getting a warning, so when someone has gotten multiple accounts banned, including a permaban (suggesting multiple actions taken on that account), there is a constant at play.

I do think their support has become problematic and people do deserve better indicators of what they’re doing wrong.

That said, I really do not believe for a moment that false bans are really all that common. I think support is just really bad at conveying the reasons with good examples to people.

A lot of people completely lack introspection and do not understand that the way they act or behave, especially around friends and family, is not the same as other people, and that their actions and words may impact others in ways they dont understand. They may fully believe that the things they say are not that big of a deal and are not harboring bad intentions, but just dont realize the things they say can come off as toxic or insulting to other people.

This person is cursing even on the forums, but, clearly they have done nothing wrong

lol, you’ve even had multiple accounts banned? Yeah, terrible support team!

Look, I understand it can be hard to know what you’ve done wrong with blizzards support, but, clearly the words you are saying are unacceptable to them. Just try to be nice to people. It really isn’t (shouldn’t be) that difficult.

Very doubtful their ban system is literally just bots autobanning. I was banned for 30 days and they quoted some out of context banter it wasn’t actual insults, I typed in chat for years during overwatch 1 never had any single ban… they changed something not me

on the bright side I haven’t touched the game since so thank you blizzard, I was kinda addicted

Don’t waste your time with this care taker game filled with people who can’t read.
