This issue has only been noticed since the latest update on the American Servers.
I use a Xbox Elite Controller to play Overwatch on PC.
I have had to remap Moira’s abilities as they are “backwards” in a normal sense. I’ve made healing RB instead of LB and damage ball LB instead of RB. This makes much more sense for those that use a controller since healing spray is RT and damage beam is LT. Doing this though makes the RT/RB stuff show up on the LEFT side of the HUD and LT/LB on the RIGHT side of the HUD which is very confusing. This has been that way for quite some time.
Anyways, since the update, I believe because of the remapping, some bug is causing RB to randomly shoot a damage ball despite having that mapped for a healing ball. At first I thought I was doing it on accident but later was able to confirm that I was not. A friend of mine, who also uses a controller and the same remapping has also been experiencing the same issue since the update.
Raises hand I am the friend. And we remapped the controls so that it makes sense, left for what the left hand shows, right for the right. Then it’s like you’re trying to demonstrate the Stroop effect by showing them the wrong way around again.
Anyway, I used to be able to say “Aww, I was an idiot. I fired a purple when I should have fired a yellow” - I can take responsibility for making the wrong decision. But then it kept happening when I was making the healing decision and I just assumed I was pressing the wrong button by mistake because the HUD is backward (See how the two are linked?).

Update to the issues:
Since the latest update, I haven’t had issues with a damage ball being shot when pressing the button for a healing ball.
However, the other issues still exist. How do we know if blizzard has read this and how do we know if they will even consider fixing this problem?
The mapping is still wrong!
Blizzard, Moira’s control issues that I stated earlier are still an issue. I haven’t booted up my PS4 in a while, but I am willing to bet that it’s also an issue on the ps4 version of OW too.
Will you please look into this and add it to your list of things needing patched please?
