Just something I was thinking about. Voice lines are kinda fun but really it’s just something you spam in the spawn room and has little to know value beyond that… except maybe a little verbal harassment 
What if heroes had some voice lines that actually serve a purpose relevant to their character? I mean that’s all the ult status thing is right? Like if Mercy could blurt out “Come to the edge! I can’t see you!” or something.
I mean typically thats what voice chat is for. Voice chat is a hell of a lot easier to hear in the middle of a battle than voice lines
Can’t argue with that. I suppose there may be some value in being able to associate the message with the voice though. Like you KNOW it’s Mercy saying that. Kinda like when you hear Genji say his famous “I need healing” I dont have to think about who said it, I know to look for Genji immediately.
As a support main, please press X. There are waaaaay too many people screeching at me over voice to heal them, when I have no idea where or who they even are because it’s just this disembodied voice with no direction.
Well yeah I meant more equipable voice lines, not the call-out ones like Group Up and Need Healing. Those you can see and hear, so I wasn’t really referring to those specifically.
" Stupidity is not a right. " is the most useful voice line I know in this game, not sure about what everyone else thinks. /s
Lucio saying “I’m low on health please heal me because amp is on cooldown and my healing is very low so I’m going to die if you don’t turn around and do something now please don’t scream at me to heal myself thank you for your consideration.”
I don’t know about useful, but spamming “Sorry about that!” with Winston when you kill someone, or spamming “Have a nice day!” after killing someone with Junkrat, or my personal favorite one, the nice and simple “Next” sure is fun.
“Come hereeeeeeeee” Rein - literally have it binded to my mouse as this elo we have Zens and other squishes pretending they are Tracers or Genjis
There are a few characters who I think have a goldmine of voicelines that work in just about any situation (Ana, Soldier, Moira, Reinhardt, Reaper, Mercy, etc.) and there are others that don’t work in most context (Pharah).
