Us "arcade players" are not being heard

We are a niche group of players who like the arcade version of OW (me total mayhem), and Blizz does not listen to us.

Main point…ALL MODES DO NOT HAVE EQUAL ROTATION… For example, Total mayhem gets weeks in between its appearance while MH, DM, and elim, get constant rotation.

Update… Well it has gotten even more insulting tonight. I log in to see that all 4 changeable sections did not change!

what is it that you want?

If I had to guess, they are looking for certain Arcade games to stay in rotation

It would help if you actually talked about what you wanted instead of just sulking and complaining that your silent words aren’t being heard.

The game has like 100 different minor groups, all with their own views and wishes, which are often conflicting with each other.

The sad fact of the matter is that Arcade players are a relatively tiny minority, so expecting a lot of activity from the devs is optimistic at best.

Ok, why is it that we have to wait weeks for the mode we want, and then only get it for a day? And the only way you can make sure you don’t miss it is that you log in every single day just to check.

I’m a pretty frequent Arcade player. All I really asked for was endorsements being allowed in at least the team-based Arcade modes, which they’re doing, so I can’t complain there.

Role lock is certainly unfortunate for Arcade, since it commits the main game to a balance philosophy that all but guarantees GOATS variants continuing to reign supreme in Mystery Heroes, but oh well.

They rotate game modes so people don’t get bored of them. That way people continue to play them over the course of the year. If you had the game mode all day every day of the year, you’d get bored of it after 2 weeks and stop playing it.

That just creates clutter on the menu and long wait times for people actually trying to play.

Rotation isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Play the other game modes. They’re fun too.

Speak for yourself, the overwhelming majority of my time is in arcade and the only thing I want is for mystery deathtrash to be deleted from the game

Good. They shouldn’t.
The main game hasn’t gotten a new mode since launch.

Mystery Heroes is getting endorsements tomorrow finally!

Seen it several times and seen it get busted up. Most people in MH don’t know how to properly play GOATS so it rarely last long. Other RNG hero stacking has also been busted up if people want to put a little effort into trying.

The only things that need fixing are the times people cheese the self death system right before they are about to die so they can keep the hero they are on. I’ve seen so many D.va’s jump to their death to keep D.va. Simply add a system where if you take damage from the enemy and self die within 10 seconds you get a new hero.

I would also like a better RNG check such as if you get hero X then you won’t get that hero again until you went though at least 6 other heroes.

As someone who has vastly more hours in Mystery Heroes than any other mode… huh?

Are we talking about balance decisions and such? Because those should be 100% unaffected by their impact on arcade.

^ Very much this. Part of the fun and strategy of Mystery Heroes for me is figuring out what you can go after on the enemy team to make their entire comp fall apart. It’s possible to force some very broken comps to flip.

It’s definitely contextual to an extent. If it’s on offense in 2CP, for example, there’s basically just not enough time to even kill any of it before it stomps across both points. On the opposite side, sometimes you can eventually cycle into double Bastion or something to wear it down.

In any case, at least the re-roll each round on Control maps will help prevent that kind of situation from lasting too long. When it appears on Assault/Escort, the game ends in a few minutes if it’s completely one-sided anyway.

Siameren, the problem is that all modes are not created equal. Total mayhem gets weeks in between its appearance while MH, DM, and elim, get constant rotation.

Why not use Custom Games?

So create a custom game for Total Mayhem… That’s what the match builder is for. It’s actually very simple because they have a template set up for it. Literally go to create a game, select the template hit play. Done.

You can create your own games now. And most arcade games can be created by you, yourself. If you’re feeling like a particular Arcade game that day, just make it and go play. People will join eventually. Especially if there are people that are as starved for these game modes as you seem to think there are.
