They’re like super heroes, so we should expect them to be unreal. I don’t want my super heroes overweight.

Roadhog doesn’t have abs, because he eats too much I guess. But he’s also got a lot of muscle to him.
If you think about it, it really wouldn’t make sense for any current hero to have a dad bod. Pretty much every guy in this game was either in a special task force, was part of a social group that involved assassins and terrorists, or was in the military. Or in general just stays in good health.
Baptiste - Talon/fugitive trying to turn his life around by joining Overwatch
Cassidy - Deadlock Gang, Overwatch, vagabond for justice
Doomfist - Terrorist leader who was also a professional fighter beforehand
Genji - part of a family of assassins, joined Overwatch
Hanzo - same as above, but didn’t join Overwatch
Junkrat - literally was raised in a society where fighting is basically as secondhand as breathing
Lifeweaver - I’m going to guess eats healthy and takes care of himself, he was a part of Vishkar for a time after all, they only accept perfection.
Lucio - probably gets a lot of exercise since he loves soccer (futball) and skating
Reaper - augmented super soldier, now terrorist
Reinhardt - was a Crusader, joined Overwatch
Roadhog - kind of similar situation as Junkrat, but obviously not sporting a pack of abs
Sigma - not sure on this one, but I’d guess he takes care of himself, he’s part of Talon after all.
Soldier76 - augmented super soldier, joined Overwatch, currently a restless vigilante
Torbjorn - little guy has to lift some seriously heavy material
I mean, we ladies have the likes of Widowmaker representing the ‘ideal’ female image. Poor woman looks like her spine will snap if she so much as sneezes. All the female characters, save for Zarya, also share the same standards; petite, skinny, curvy. Probably some of the few outside of Zarya are Pharah, Ana, Brig, and maybe Sojourn. So we have more ‘variety’ in terms of body image. (Also forgot Junker Queen, so yeah, we have it kinda better)
Not sure if the world is ready for Bueno Excelente. It sure would be funny if they tried.

The only exception is [not even in this game, and it’s] because he literally eats - wait for it - people.
Even if you try to do the stuff they do, run around, do backflips, parkour, whatever - your body will get stronger. Now, maybe not a “6 pack”…but if you’re lazy and don’t even try, you’re like the npc giving agents quests.*
*The exception imo is if you are not in your “prime”, have an underlying condition, or got injured on the job.
This is not an attempt to shame anyone. It’s a videogame, I answered the question with my opinion.

Even if you exclude the fact that everyone is actively engaged in combat, if you used your eyes, everyone isn’t a “skinny six-pack bod” person anyways.
Although realism is the worst argument ever for anything as it has brought down every game that tries it, let me engage your question on its own merits.
The OW members are some of the best soldiers in the world and many are actively in service. That entails being very fit. If you aren’t fit, a little bit of time in basic and you will be.

I will just call it how it is: heroes are skinny and generally attractive, because they run around and help people. If you are fat, you are not exercising enough and its your own fault (Hog is just build different and still strong as heck lol).
Not to mention that his is a toony hero game with a lot of stereotypes. Stop thinking too much about it and just enjoy it.
I have never seen any joke cosmetics like Zenyatta’s bathtub skin in a match. Also, I have seen K-pop and Mercy skins almost every match. What does this say? People buy more skins if they think it’s pretty or attractive than if they think it’s funny.
Back to the question of why there are so many men in this game that look sauced to the gills? Because that’s what our society finds attractive at the moment. A simpler explanation would be that these heroes and villains would need to be physically fit in order to do what they do. However, this is a fictional videogame and characters like Roadhog exist that in reality would have trouble breathing and struggle walking a few meters. There are also magical spirits, machine god, genetically modified animals, etc.
Don’t take a videogame seriously…
