Unplayable Due to Severe Stutter

Up until now, I’ve played at 1440p and maintained 250-300 FPS with no stutter. Since Sigma dropped, I’ve experienced incessent stutter at all times that causes the perceived framerate to appear to be roughly 30 FPS (though the actual framerate doesn’t change).

This has crippled my gaming performance. My accuracy stats are down 15%+ each match. My deaths are up, my hero damage / 10 is down by nearly 50% and my elims / 10 are down about 30%.

I’ve noticed that skirmishes run flawlessly. No problems whatsoever but the moment I get into a real match, the constant stutter resumes. It could be map-dependent but that seems unlikely, and I can confirm that it’s not dependent on my hero choice.

Things I’ve tried…
Updating my GPU to the latest driver.
Running the repair installation tool for Overwatch.
Completely uninstalling and reinstalling Overwatch.
Enabling G-sync and Fast sync to confirm that the perceived stutter isn’t actually extreme screen tearing, which it is not.
Reducing all my settings and lowering my resolution scale to 75%.
Dropping my resolution from 1440p down to 1080p.
Overclocking my CPU.

Nothing has helped at all. Any suggestions? Anyone else experiencing this? It’s really frustrating because I feel that Overwatch is entering into a new golden age with role queue and Sigma, yet I can’t enjoy it. :persevere:

At a loss honestly… Download the latest Nvidia drivers, run DDU (display driver uninstaller… guru3d is a safe spot to dl it from) preferably in safe mode, uninstall absolutely any trace of Nvidia, reboot and install the latest drivers…
Could also try disabling the 9900K’s integrated GPU from bios (should be under integrated peripherals) and uninstalling the Intel graphics drivers from desktop. I’m on a 8700K and I’ve disabled my 630 (the GPU) on it because I don’t need it.

Also, if you use GeForce Experience, you should turn off the “automatically optimize games” jank since it’ll fiddle with game settings AFAIK, not 100% sure how it works since I’ve had it off since it was introduced.
