Unlucky games in comp

I recently started getting back into competitive again and I honestly forgot how toxic people can be on the game. I’ve had so much bad luck even when I’m the nicest person. I really wanted to climb in rank this season on support but almost every game I get, I have teammates who do not care and throw. I’ll have 26k healing and still get blamed. It honestly makes me feel pretty down when I know I’m actually doing my best. And I want to keep playing, but I don’t know if it’s even worth it anymore. Especially with the season ending very shortly. Is anyone else having bad luck with teams?

Toxicity is toxicity. What really gets me is that I keep dropping to bronze climbing out then dropping to bronze and the cycle continues.

Healbotting is absolutely terrible, look to use your utility aggressively to make plays for your team.

That would be great, thank you. I have been actually trying to play Ana a lot more and sometimes Bap. I honestly am not a great Lucio even though people tell me “oh he’s the easiest to play”. I have the most hours on Ana and Mercy.

Ana and Bap are both solid heroes with great Carry potential, same with Lucio.

While Lucio’s skill floor is pretty low as you can easily just position yourself in the middle of the team and spam heals and speed, if you want maximum value and carry potential as Lucio, you will have to improve your Lucio mechanics and duelling abilities so you can consistently duel enemy DPS heroes and Healers, also known as Reddit/DPS Lucio.

This is how I have climbed from Low Gold to GM with Lucio. Whenever my team doesn’t need my Speed or Peels, I will dive the enemy DPS and Supports to distract and kill them, this is especially great value when there is a Widow on the enemy team, which relieves a LOT of pressure from your team.

Also you can force important cooldowns by pressuring the enemies like Ana’s Sleep/Nade, or even ultimates like Zen’s Trance to allow your Genji to freely Nanoblade.

I hope this gives you a better idea of how Lucio can carry, and if you need any help do let me know! I am also available on Discord if you want quicker response there: Abdullahx9000#4294

I can confirm that playing against Abdullah as Widow is a nightmare. I still have PTSD.

As a nice person, I implore you to disable comms lest they corrupt you and turn you into another troll. :trolleybus:

I already disabled my messages on PS4 so they can’t message me there, and I think it’s a good idea to do it in-game as well. I also wish there was a way to block out the in-game spamming of voice lines and others comms.:confounded:

Cntrl+shift+C will clear those on PC. I assume there is a similar option on console.

I will look into it a little more then, thank you!

Bad luck happens good luck does too. I just trust that process.

People are toxic because the matchmaker is broken and awful. They down deep know something is not fair and wrong and their frustrations surface during the match. Blizzard is responsible for all of this, stop playing.
