Unlock Role Queue with leavers

So, had a winnable game in Comp when we were down one due to internet problems (he kept coming back, so we understood that he was having net issues). But after us not getting a point quick enough, we had 2 more leavers, and that ended up with a game that ended up being 5 against 3 (they had a leaver as well).

With that kind of disadvantage in competitive, and with role lock, it makes it hard to even attempt a comeback (and we could have even with it being 4 to 6, since we were able to hold them long enough for enemy team to get final point in overtime, with us having a massive time bank.

I don’t know if suggestions can be made here or if there’s another forum for me to go to (maybe PTR feedback?), but if there are leavers in a group, maybe we could get role lock to unlock? So that the people that are still in the game could try to get some kind of team together that could still potentially win? We only had 1 dps and 2 heals, and I feel like if we were able to pick any role due to leavers, we could’ve made a better effort with a makeshift team.

No thanks. “I’m diamond on DPS but low plat on support. I’ll queue as support, bully someone until they leave, switch to DPS and then get easy wins.”

The problem with this is that they have now tried SR/ranking to roles, rather than just having one SR for your account.

Like it makes sense that if someone leaves, you should be able to switch roles to cover whatever they were. Or even allow switching roles if 2 players mutually agree to swap during the game. These would make sense to me, but its just not practical with role SR.

Or just backfill the empty spot. Seems less problematic.
