Why shouldn’t this be possible? Just disable Mouse and Keyboard and force a Controller only policy for PC players trying to play Competitive with console. These new consoles are almost high end gaming PCs with 120fps.
Also you would have to add Aim-assist for the Controller on PC for Console/PC comp ONLY.
Separate Controller and PC comp ranks and keep PC competitive the way it is
IDK just an idea because I play the game on both and constantly have to switch back and forth.

console and pc should remain separate. pc has such an advantage over console for the avg player it wouldnt even be fair
All my friends are on console… I will have to play on my PS5 just to be able to play competitive with them. I would love to be able to use my controller on PC instead… It changes nothing for competitive gameplay…

As a console GM the though of having to same MMR as OWL players (until we drop down) gives me nightmares.

You got me wrong I agree with you. I prefer to play with M/K a lot but if the only way to play comp with my friends is to take a controller I need to play on my PS5 but I would rather play on PC that’s it. So if they don’t want to do crossplay comp they should allow PC players to play with a controller on ranked game with console players.
that’s exactly what im trying to get to but some of these guys don’t have friends in the real world where EVERYONE HAS A CONSOLE. I want to play with my real life friends i dont mind playing controller on PC instead of MnK just to be with them. Do i prefer it? NO but to be fair i wouldn’t mind using a controller.

Yeah I think that they should at least allow comp by input devices… If you want to play with controller on PC you should be able to play comp with consoles and if console players want to play with M/K they should be with PC…
