im not reading all that, happy for you, or sorry that happened.
Don’t buff, don’t nerf. I vote for a complete deletion.
Well I know low elo players can’t fathom a hero not being overpowered, but venture was quite literally mid tier before the nerf lmfao.
Meanwhile when a hitscan hero was mid tier (soldier) he got 3 different buffs and shot up into the meta for multipe seasons straight!
They are unfun bc they arnt really fps hero’s…. They are kinda dumb easy to play.
So good players don’t touch the hero’s. Unfortunatly since fps players don’t play the hero’s they don’t get as high of win rates bc the best players are on other hero’s…. Until of course good players try the hero. Then the win rates skyrocket
This is the venture situation. Hitscans got nerfed dva got good. FPS players settled on playing venture… venture nerfed.
Because you asked, D.va is pretty easy unless they catch you coming up on them and dip, i try to avoid brawl tanks because they tend to win 1v1 unless you are sitting on a health pack.
Dueling a tank on ven requires you manage your bonus armor, you can’t just tunnel in and hit your drill dash or you will get rolled. normally i open with drill dash aiming them out of los for party or into a room, melee, take a couple shot because Aoe, then tunnel (you have 5 second in tunnel so you start to heal while still hitting them making them not heal) pop full power, melee, couple shots, drill dash.
you can not burst a tank down you have to play the cooldowns.
as for ones i have solo killed, dva, sigma, rein, Winton (have to play this one with mobility), Orisa and Mauga (both of these are rough and you have to bait Cd’s)
and not it is not a 100% win rate, i win about 55% of these duels but regardless it can be done so i am not sure what everyone is crying about “undo the nerf”
Not remotely low elo, but this is your default and only real “debate” method on here, so not surprised.
This is what I was referring to, as these opinions are head scratching to the point they must be trolling or incapable of attempting to make a point without wild exaggerations.
Because most people on here are low elo… and bad at the game.
Just the truth, so I auto expect people to be said low elo.
The only thing I say was flat out incorrect was low damage weapon, but other than that… their ult isn’t good, and the shield health is meh and pretty useless if the enemy team is straight up using CC. Great if they aren’t though, problem is most of the time, just like doom or ball, if you do anything remotely value producing on this hero, they’ll swap to CC.
Probably the least interactive dps hero to duel in the entire game because 99% of heroes it’s just an instant loss in a true duel with minimal mechanical skill needed. You either play the heroes that can avoid her with mobility/punish her like cass/sombra/tracer or get cheese combo’d.
It isn’t the shield health. That is a small part.
It’s because they also have an engage/disengage that you literally cannot interrupt once it’s happened. They can escape if needed and you simply can do nothing about it other than try to chase, which they also get vertical mobility out of and can damage you if you’re close.
This is the best part about their kit…if you consider it terrible IDK. Maybe you’re using it differently than what I see.
Ever heard “debate the position, not the person”?
I understand it’s a foreign concept the last couple decades, but it is much more effective and leads to far more interesting discussions then just replying “Get gud newb!!” to every post.
If a player is in Bronze, and has some genuinely bronze outlooks on balance, it shouldn’t be difficult to refute those opinions.
It’s one of the better DPS Ults, and mid tier at worst. The fact that Venture gains shields IS relevant to why she doesn’t “have 300hp,” and the fact they are gained from using, rather then landing abilities, is a significant difference, not to mention being able to grab packs while burrowed.
Can’t say I agree at all. It’s hilariously easy to avoid / dodge or block. Gets screwed by any ounce of elevation basically. Or just flat out, out healed.
But the person didn’t say they needed 300 HP. They said 275 would’ve been fine.
Personally I’d rather if they just gave the primary slightly more range.
Lemme know where you disagree.
It’s significantly better then: Deadeye, Barrage, Blossom, Artillery, Dragons, Visor.
It’s better then, or roughly equal to: Blade, Lava, BOB, Pulse, Tire.
It’s worse then: EMP, Walls, Wall, Dupe.
Blossom is better. Lava is better. Bob is significantly better. Pulse is significantly better. Tire is better. Dragons would’ve been better if they didn’t try to “buff” it, a.k.a give it a nerf and call it a buff with the boosted movement speed on it.
Just becase it’s smaller than shatter (one of the most forigiving if not the most forigiving ult hitbox wise) doesn’t mean anything. Venture’s ult is still very forigiving by all means. Also, you got 4 shots.
I agree, they should undo the shield gain nerf.
And instead nerf their health down to 225 because Venture is a mobility character (and yet another dive character with immortality).
Well I wouldn’t say that, it does max 75dmg per shot within a 15m range which is considerably less than comparable splash weapons in the DPS category.
It’s power comes in the fact it animation cancels and can be weaved into combos, but on its own it is mediocre.
Funny to see that nobody has figured out how to burrow properly even after so long.
I had to play against a Zarya pocketing their Venture and let’s just say that makes burrowing properly a non-issue. Freaking DIE!!! Ahem, yes, the Venture was quite difficult to punish.
Also any map with any modicum of vertically exponentially makes it harder to get actual value out of their ult.
Hahaha.
No. It isn’t anywhere close to as useful as Riptire.
