Undo recent Roadhog buff please

In the patch notes dated April 29 2020 Roadhog’s Ult knockback was increased by 20%. Why? Who was crying out for this?
I honestly thought it was a late April fools joke or typo intended to say decreased.
He is already the hardest character to kill, with an overpowered ult that can push you across the map. I’m not asking for a total nerf (though a longer cool down on his health packs would be nice).
I simply want a reversal of this buff that only serves to increase the imbalance in the characters.

Hog is very easy to counter but more importantly the knockback increase was a nerf/buff at the same time. The faster you get knocked back the less damage you will take from his ult, unless ofcourse you are caught against a wall, but that interaction was not affected by the knockback change.

Not to be offensive, but you MUST be low rank and only solo queue if you think Hog is even a DECENT pick. Hog is easily one of, it not the worst tank in the game, and helping his ult was a smart choice,

At least you accept it as a truth though! So many people see things in their rank and believe them to be true… Hog works in unorganized chaos. Anywhere else he’s a trash pick. If the dev team made guilds and everyone started to use them, once everyone was in a guild and played 6v6 OW hog would become the worst pick in the game, besides maybe bastion.

His ult change was for other players benefits.

Such as Rein who’s shield and health was instantly deleted by that ult with no way to escape.

I mean… his shield still gets obliterated by Whole Hog. That ain’t change.

True but Rein himself has a chance to survive if the hog doesnt use walls to the advantage

Hog is the worst tank in the game… by a wide margin. He is already bad and is countered hard by any variant of double shield.

Is it just the fact that it has increased and roadhog in the patch note?

You should want to be pushed away from him when he’s ulting, unless you’re going off a cliff that is.

It’s really more of a nerf for hog. Whole hog does more damage the closer you get. Pushing people further away makes it worse.

Kind of like removing Sigma’s self knockback and damage. Technically a buff, but realistically a nerf.

Tbh this kinda already is a nerf, the duration of whole hog in total does 5000 damage. The ult pushes people away as a counter measure to the mass amount of damage he outputs, that’s why most hogs try to use their ults when there enemies are against a wall so the don’t make it to safety due to the push back.

Hog is one of the heroes who deserves the less a nerf.
But I’m super surprised by the people claiming the change was a nerf.
Like, if you want pure damage you don’t ult, you just shot. The ability was useful to deal HUGE damages only if you had a wall to help, which doesn’t change. Ulting someone near you, in the open area , quite randomly, was straight up wasting your ult.
Now, you still can obliterate the enemy if you have a wall but can also use your ult as a making space tool. That’s completely a buff.

People feel smart because "increase a number isn’t necessarily a buff " but in this case, it still is.

If all the value you got from an entire ult was that you moved alittle closer to the objective…you should just change your tank line up cause clearly they aren’t doing their job of moving alittle closer to the objective.

actually if your at a slight angle, it still pushes them across the length of the wall.

as a guy who only plays overwatch for roadhog pretty much, can confirm this is a nerf not a buff
