We have been trying for awhile now, after many restarts and scans (4 of us) and we are only able to SOMETIMES invite friends to our group because they are running a “Different version of overwatch”. Restarting the client sometimes works? But then the party leader has to do this to invite someone else and the whole issue starts again of not being able to invite. We have checked our version and we are all on the same version. Restarted bnet/PC’s ETC.

Having the exact same problem, restarted BattleNet, PC etc. Tried to invite 3 friends and also get the Different Versions of Overwatch error message
Yeah it’s currently broken. What you can do is use the command /invite “Name of your friend” to invite to group until they fix it. It works for me

Have the same issue, could only invite my friend once I unfriended him…
I had to remove everyone on my list as well in order to group up. This was not the case before the 7/20 update.
