Is there any real difference between the 2 settings? I don’t want to increase the workload on my GPU just for a few extra minute details here and there.
Then dont? I mean if you have problems with max graphics then dont use it. I think its viewable if you only played on max settings but otherwise? Just stay were you are. No need to put it higher.
i play with all settings on low, i care more about the fps i get than colours
Honestly, Overwatch is one of those games that looks good even on the lowest settings. In a PvP game you’ll want as many frames as possible, so just put everything on low settings and enjoy your high FPS.
I’ve always played at lowest settings. Whenever there used to be new levels released (remember that? lol) I’d crank the settings all the way up just to get a look at the details and artistry of the new maps, but that was only briefly to see what I was missing visually, then back to low settings.
Well also, it’s more subtle than frames, but optimizing for “reduced input delay” is important.
Also if people don’t have “High precision mouse input” turn on in the menu settings… please do that.
And depending on the character, the “recoil compensation” turned off could make a big difference.
A lot of people say it’s pointless to go from high to ultra in most games, so idk if there’s much difference between ultra and epic.
But if you have the hardware to run it, go for it! I play on epic and am above my monitors refresh rate in terms of fps.
If there is difference it is something very minor. Performance wise there isn’t noticeable difference so you can just go with epic and lower the other settings from there if necessary.
Not one that I notice. For me it looks mostly the same at anything above medium unless you’re looking at lighting or effects, even then, those aren’t too noticable during gameplay. AA is probably the only setting I’ll keep on highest. Sometimes texture filtering being turned up stops weird artifacts on skins but if you don’t notice them then no issue.
I can’t notice a difference so I just dropped to below max to hit a solid 300 fps instead of hovering around 200-250 or so.
