Ultimates sorted by Average Eliminations/Assists

The results may shock you.

This is a sequel to my 2021 thread: Ultimates sorted by Average Eliminations per Game
The comparison between the two is also interesting.

Stats were gathered from Overbuff. Filtered by PC, Competitive, all ranks, just like last time. Keep in mind that Overbuff now reports statistics per 10 minutes rather than per match, so that may account for some of the differences.

I think it’s interesting that 3 out of 5 of the best Damage ultimates in Overwatch 1 are still in the Top 5 Damage Ultimates in Overwatch 2.

Death Blossom is quite clearly one of the best ultimates in the game. The only reason Echo is above Reaper is because she duplicates Reaper from a slightly better position for her Death Blossom.

Ooh, thanks for the info!

But maybe D.Va should have 2 seperate rows for Self Destruct & Call Mech?

Yeah, Death Blossom and Blizzard seem to be consistently good (or at least consistently… consistent?) across both games.

Great point, completely missed that. Done.

The Kitsune Rush assists are deceiving. It gives you 1 assist for every teammate that assisted in an elimination. If 3 teammates kill 1 enemy, you get 3 assists. Not sure if that’s intended.

They’re reported on Overbuff the same way they’re reported ingame. So yeah, that’s why the number is super high.

It would be eye opening for a lot of players if Tires elims were tracked. Pity.

I knew it. Reaper is way too strong, they should nerf that guy.

Thanks to everyone who got eliminated after taking 10 damage from Hanzo’s ult. He is not in the last place because of your generosity. :face_holding_back_tears:

I assume if this was organized by rank it would be very different… the idea that death blossom is so high in the list is likely because there is more value in it in the metal ranks.

The kitsune rush is certainly well out of the scope of this. Most all things on here are purely eliminations and not actually assists. If you want to include assists you’d be including a bunch of the other supports ults like beat, mercy, zen, lifeweaver, and rally. These are all assists.

It’s 4.39 in Bronze and 4.49 in GM, so there goes that theory.

I just stand in the dragon the entire time.

:muscle::triumph:

That is so surprising, One of my more recent mains is reaper in high diamond and I honestly ult for 2 kills (usually main healer) instead of looking team wipes. If I do team wipe its only after blossom makes the rest of the team low enough for me to shot them dead.

It seems like it’s most effective at low ranks where people will just run into it and at high ranks where people can time it so well that it’s impossible to avoid.

In the middle ranks, the Reapers aren’t good enough to use it well and the other players are too good to just run into it.

Problem with Kiriko is that you get an assist from EVERY SINGLE SEPARATE teammate compared to other abilities.

E.g. if you play Mercy, damage boost your Reinhardt and Reaper (via ult) when fighting Ramattra and he dies, you get 1 assist. And if you just boosted Reinhardt or just Reaper, you’d still get one assist.

But in Kiriko’s case, she will get TWO assists if the Reinhardt and Reaper kill Ramattra inside the Kitsune. Effectively, if 4 of her teammates damage each enemy teammate once, and they all die, she’ll get freaking 20 Kitsune assists from it for some reason even though it’s effectively just 5.

Not saying the ult is weak or strong, it’s strong, but the number is definitely super inflated.

Yeah, it’s bugged. And obviously so. Not sure why it hasn’t been fixed.

I wonder what the actual number would be. Divide that 15 by 4? By 3? This way it’s confusing.
