Years ago, Blizzard created a pair of skins for Overwatch that were game changing… some may even say life changing. They were exclusive to Blizz-con, however. The Symmetra variant of Tyrande has been known to create mass amounts of joy in people’s lives. There’s stories of the singular skin curing people’s depression and granting the blind literal eye sight! This blessing should no longer be withheld from the 99% of community when it does so much good for the poverty-stricken communities. Blizzard is known to bring back exclusive skins in the past, so this would not be unprecedented.
The character, that is Tyrande Whisperwind, is such an iconic character in video games as she is the face of her own game, World of Warcraft. She is the leader of the Kaldorei! Tyrande is known by people who have never experienced World of Warcraft as she is known by nearly the entire Blizzard community and beyond. She is one of the most popular characters to be cosplayed and have fan art created of her. She appears in not just WoW, but also Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and… as mentioned… Overwatch.
The time has come, Blizzard. It is time to grant access to this skin once more and allow players to earn Tyrande. 2022 is coming to an end in the very near future, there is no reason this skin should remain exclusive after all this time. Millions of new players have picked up the game and never had the chance to even consider getting the skin and it’s about time to allow them to enjoy the game to the fullest by releasing the skin to the public. I would suggest locking the skin behind achievements, or quests, requiring players to complete certain tasks in order to earn the skin.
I should add, this is my first ever time visiting the Overwatch forums and I never imagined myself stepping forth here, but a topic this serious was important enough to summon me. I truly hope Blizzard understands and acknowledges the value shown through this post and considers doing the kind act of returning the skin to us for the sake of the community’s happiness. Thank you, and goodnight.
