I was accused of using offensive chat and was banned for 14 days. I was accused of using the “N” word and never used it. The team the reported me was at least 3-5 team stack and they reported me. I never said that word, and yet I got a 2 wk ban on chat. Does our admins actually look at chat history because I never said that. This is freaking horse crap. Admin, please contact me to explain the ban… In the email, you never said what I did to be banned on chat, why can’t you be a little more specific on what is said or typed??? Or, are you just banning based on reports without investigating reports???
That’s not how it works bud… you have to submit a ticket yourself. No one will contact you about a report…
Also, you wouldn’t get a ban from just one game worth of reports.
Same thing happend to me
A few 4-5 stacks reported me because I was playing sombra and mei.
I dont even swear in chat, only thing that would be considered toxic is me pointing out that a teamate is underperforming.
I contacted support and they didnt even tell me what I did wrong the guy just said I did wrong, so stupid
I always type “Gee Gee”
I never use text chat other than to type “Gee Gee”
Got a 2 week suspension…Lucky for me I got a hold of someone from support
who looked into my account and found that the only thing ever said on my account in text chat was “Gee Gee”
Suspension was lifted but it took 4 days
Appeal, if what your saying is true… People whine when there isn’t an immediate response, so they setup a report bot to autoban…
They need to have a report punishment if it was a false report so it is less likely to be abused.
They didn’t report you for playing sombra/mei. They reported you for talking crap about their performance. Nobody asked for nor cares about your opinion. Next time keep it to yourself and you won’t get silenced
The truth hurts alot of people feelings.
Thats why he was banned…Not for talking crap…Because someones feelings were hurt
Which is pathetic
In Ireland Gee is slang.
Every game you are saying ‘ladyparts ladyparts’
That’s really funny to me today for some reason.
The truth doesn’t have to be brutal.
The problem with people like you is you think brutal truth is the only way to be honest. I would discuss this with someone if you want to grow as a person.
lol
Didnt not know this !!!
Reminds me on how in the middle east using the “OK” sign with your hands is actually giving someone the middle finger.
Crazy how cultures are much different depending on the country
i only say things like “Don’t tell my mommy it’s past my bedtime ”
Blizzard literally will not reverse bans/punishments unless you are an influential content creator. This has been proven time and again.
It also doesn’t help, so what is the point of telling it? You think telling someone that they’re bad at the game is going to magically make them better? This isn’t Hogwart’s Legacy. You can’t just “Win-gardium Game-iosa!” someone and make them suddenly know how to aim or where to position or when to push in.
There are all sorts of players who play this game, it’s not always seasoned thick skinned gamers who grew up in Xbox lobbies hearing slurs and insults 24/7. A lot of the times it’s people who just want to relax and have fun and not feel attacked by strangers on the internet. Maybe you are right and they are bad at the game, but it doesn’t mean you need to be a jerk about it. Just quietly avoid them as teammate and move on with your life.
The report system is automated. You also need tons of reports to get a ban, which means having a team reporting you one time won’t lead to a ban. There is something more to the story.
Hey, I’ll just copy what I said in Patricks thread. But I think the best thing to do is first and formost take responsibility for the toxicity instead of blaming it on false reports.
I’ve been toxic myself, in the past.
This is what I’ve done to prevent myself from doing it again.
In the social (groups) tab
- Leave Voice
- Leave Team Chat
- Leave Match Chat
In settings (Social)
- Turn off Team Chat
- Turn off Match Chat
In settings (Sound / Voice chat)
- Turn Voice Chat Volume to 0
- Remove keybind to ‘push to talk’
Why do all these things?
Because if you only do one of them, you’ll go turn on the match chat again and start flaming, if you turn it all off, you can’t be bothered.
What I do instead.
- Use the ping system to communicate.
- With no communication / flaming towards you, it’s easier to focus on yourself.
- With all these things turned off I will speak out mistakes we made as a team. “Why did we do this, why did we not do this”, which forces me to think about what I could have done in that situation.
People can tell you to just stop being toxic etc., but it’s not that simple. Learning to take losses like a boss can take practice for many of us, even though many won’t admit it.
This… Admit it you are toxic…
When did i become a content creator/influencer… still waiting for that million dollar check…
O right i dont post my greivences on forums like a narcasistic wacko

who grew up in Xbox lobbies hearing slurs and insults 24/7.
Some of us did but just don’t want to be dealing with this stuff as adults anymore.

narcasistic wacko
then i can report as revenge for losing luv going for low hanging fruit.
Ok
It isnt my fault you say something that is against TOS when you win, that really doesnt bother me
