Two dot issue while capping 300fps

Im able to maintain a constant 250 fps capped with only one dot and along with that 300-400 with a single dot as well. But when capping my fps at 300 I get two dots and somehow it makes my game stutter to the point where its unplayable. Any idea what it might be?

Hey, GabeXd! The 2 dots on the FPS counter means that the GPU is saturated. Could be the GPU threads or the VRAM itself that is saturated. The 1 dot means that the frames are SIM Bound, the graphics and rendering are fine. It could just a be a limit on what the graphics card can handle or certain settings may need to be adjust.

I’m really sorry this post is really old, but how do I fix this issue then of the GPU being “saturated”? What does that even mean? My PC same hardware didn’t used to have this issue but now it does. The weird thing is when I use display based FPS, I have a 165hz monitor so it caps at 175 FPS and even when my GPU hits high load like 80-100% I do not get more than 1 dot when the GPU is being stressed.
