Two cheaters - see yourself

Dear Overwatch community,

in replay M3XPE1 the players KSMELVM and RAG3R use an aimbot.

i recorded it:

see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJbTolsK7xg
and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyhRtLLf_pw

I reported them to hacks@blizzard.com

best regards,

MACKIE1604

haha, how are they not instantly banned… Their anti-cheat is not there.

It takes a while but in the end they will get banned for blatantly cheating. Widow didn’t even care about aiming anywhere

Can just buy another account for $5 and do it all over again.

A week passed and no one was banned. This is a shame. I think Blizzard and the Hacks-Team can’t handle the huge amount of reports. This makes me very sad.

I can guarantee you that outside of anti cheat developers there is no team. No one is looking through any reports of any kind.

it is what it is. PVP games (especially FPS) are plagued by cheaters to a degree that had never happened before. Only way to get a proper “anticheat” is to have a singular “gamer ID” linked to a real national id/passport for every game. Banned once on the game? banned forever (or doesn’t need to be forever, since you’re no longer able to just multi-account bypass).

There’s too much money to be made by selling cheats: it’s never gonna end.

I almost feel like they purposely let hacks stay active way longer in overwatch then they do for say like wow. I still do not know why they dont get the hacks themselves and see how they are exploiting then patch the game so those exploits no longer function.

nah, cs2 is exactly in the same state if not way worse. Gaming is way too lucrative for cheat makers. It’s a huge industry that produces a lot of revenue, and cheat makers know how to get a cut of that.

Buh…buh…but, I’ve only seen like 2 cheaters in all my years of overwatch and I played the beta back in the old days.

/Sarcasm

Seriously though, it crazy they haven’t been banned yet with such obvious rage hacking. Shame on blizzard.

Governments around the world are salivating at this possibility lol… video games will likely be the eventual way they get enough regular people to agree to such a system.

“Tired of those pesky cheaters? Just link your government issued ID to your gamer tag!”

Of course, most already share their entire lives through social media, so a moot point, perhaps

We’re headed that way for several reasons. Thing is, the system can be anonymous. You just use a verifying entity of IDs and games simply get a token of access. We essentially give our ID to any commerce where our ID (at least in europe) is needed for tax reasons.

the sad part is? you’ll probably get in more trouble for posting their names than they will for doing the cheating.

Also…how is it that in many years of playing OW…i have never seen these kinds of aimbots? it’s bizzard that they say cheating is rampant, yet ive yet to come across a hard lock aimbot like that…must have some super luck… is this QP or comp? that may be the difference…maybe it’s not as bad in qp…but in high level comp its worse?

i think there is a way to do anti cheat, but it would require geo location, and hardware ID’s

ive mentioned this before. when you create an account for OW…you have to download a program onto your computer that geo locates where your computer is…and that’s the only place you can play OW from. If you get banned for cheating, its a permanent ban for anyone within that geo location.

also, the game would record hardware ID’s for every component inside your PC. if you get caught cheating…it will ban that PC from ever playing OW again…

would it be intrusive and draconian? probably…but, cheating is so out of control that this is probably what it will take.

…they do this all the time. It’s called anti cheat. In fact, they have banned at least 250 THOUSAND different accounts. That’s a lot of accounts.

How hacks work though, blizzard stops the cheat, then the cheat developers find a new way to cheat. The good news is they did just recently sue a big cheat developer and won something like 14 million dollars. The bad news is, that cheat company probably had way more than 14 million dollars

Cheaters are rare no matter what. Hard lock is like finding a unicorn. This is coming from a high level comp perspective btw

I’m wondering where all this cheating is taking place too because it seems very common here on the forums, but I’ve personally only ever seen it once or twice since playing in 2016 to now.

It must be a comp thing or non-american servers or something. I’ve only stuck to quickplay and no limits in arcade so I never see anything like this.

Very simple reason: WOW economy = real dough for them.

EU servers get RUS/KSA players and IMHO these are the ones I’ve seen cheating the most.

i have no idea…you never seem to have a shortage of complaints on the forums, and Flats never has any shortage of cheat videos. I dont doubt they are out there…im just wondering why it is in the almost 6 years ive been playing this (off and on), why i have literally never encountered a hard lock aimbot.
