I wish I could’ve clipped the entire discussion, but what are your thoughts on Twitch streamers accidentally leaking, trolling about leaks or spreading misinformation in general?

Edit: I want to clarify and say there is no proof that this is real/not real. My purpose is to have a discussion around it and since the whole HERO BAN fiasco blew up this week and those leaks were false I’m curious as to what the forum community thinks :slight_smile:

That isn’t my intent to say he is lying, I’m just curious to see what other peoples thoughts on leaks in general are regarding streamers.

Leaks have proven to be right in the past, best example being metro on blizzcon 2019

if it’s not in the non disclosure agreement they sign, they can do whatever they want.

In the beginning of the discussion he explained that most streamers have information up to 2021 I believe. I couldn’t clip the entire thing though.

People need to take everything streamers say with a grain of salt. None of them know anything of what Blizzard is doing behind the scenes and are just spreading rumors. Many say these things to get more viewers and try to be the “first” to say something in hopes it comes true.

I honestly believe if one of them make a statement and it comes out to be false then people need to just stop watching them. Don’t make such statements unless you have rock solid proof that it’s true. Should also show your source and no say “I have a good source”.

Various streamers, youtube content creators and other “influencers” are shown stuff months in advance of it being released. They literally take the money we paid for the game to fly these clowns out to Blizzard HQ. They’re also privy to balance discussion, which explains why balance is so ****ed up.
