Turrets autotarget sombra soon as she appears, meaning she either has to play outside their los, their range which hardly can net her value or she has to sneakily destroy them and hope the entire enemy team doesn’t notice. I mean what else do you want them to do, widow snipe her while invisible?

So revealing herself and her location just to hack a turret that will come back online unless she attacks in the small period it remains hacked. If only there was a way to exploit this very obvious situation to my advantage. nope can’t think of any

Yeah i dont get what theyre complaining about. If you play torb and play near your turret, as soon as you hear the hack start you turn and right click her out of invis then burst her down. Even if she got the hack on the turret, that means youre not hacked and she’s completely free to delete her existence.

torbs don’t, she can hack them while invis meaning they cant target her.
Sym’s are weird because you have to use EMP to disable them. But you can still hack the sym while invis and get your set up to avoid them.
but like in both cases she can ignore them and reposition around them.
Well guess what. She’s statistically underperforming and one of the weakest heroes across all ranks. So she’ll most likely get buffed. Actually looks like she’s exactly the same as she’s always been. Weak plat down. And balanced or slightly underperforming diamond above. Sorry sombra haters she’s balanced. She isn’t OP. She isn’t actually destroying games.

Most of the time you can hack it, but the window is small and you need good game sense, but as you pointed out you can interrupt her
It’s a skill issue
If only she has a way to run with almost no CD. What a hill to die on.
You see the direction she goes to, and then you just spray the area with bullets and find her again.
Never the less, she has retreated and your turret saved your team from getting hacked and virused, that’s half a victory as she needs to set up again.

And i’ve only once had trouble dueling a sombra this season. While playing mercy.
Just keep your ears open and sidestep immediately once hack starts. She will miss virus and you’ll kill her or make her run. Either way she needs to reset her approach.

Turrets do counter Sombra.
She has to chose to use her hack on the Turret or her intended Target.
If she hacks the Turret then she wastes time revealing her location, however brief (not a full reveal, she flickersin to cast the hack).
To an attentive team, that’s more than enough time and her Translocator is nerfed compared to her older version so if you see it thrown into the air for more range you can just fire in the general direction and break her stealth.
Most likely you’ll just chase her away but you made her waste cooldowns on a repairable/replaceable object and not on you or your support allies.

Basically, there was a time where hack could be done without revealing herself to turrets, but when they reworked her it was made that the instant she tries to hack anything that isn’t a health pack, even for 1 ms, she comes completely out of invisibility, meaning she can’t hack it as it will always prioritise her.
And sym turret, plus Illari turret also do a terrific job of minimising her presence too because she has to prioritise those first if she wants to get some pressure in and survive.

Turrets can be annoying to Sombra.
But the heroes attached to said Turrets range from mediocre (Torb) to really damn bad (Sym).
Its extremely easy to just farm endlessly a Symmetra because she has zero threat and Sombra has better burst and faster TTK by far.
Sentries are so anemic as a damage tool that they pose zero threat to Sombra. Not only they easy to play around but deal so little damage that Sombra can kill a support or Sym herself before they do basically anything of worth.
Its basically the same thing with Genji and Tracer. Both are technically annoyed by turrets but turrets and the heroes attached to them have been nerfed to the point they are a non-threat.
