Turn off foreign language ult lines?

Teammates, when using an ultimate, say their voice line in english. Enemies, always say it in their language. While i do appreciate the attempt to keep it “real”, i find the foreign lines always annoying, especially Sym, Sigma and Moira.

Can we get an option for enemies to have the exact same ult lines as teammates? Thanks

I would mind this as an option, but wouldn’t it be confusing if everyone had the same voicelines?

I wouldn’t mind, usually i always check if the ult is from an enemy anyway, i don’t trust a voice line

I’m sure the OP is aware the foreign/native language is partially to differentiate friend from foe, but all they would have to do is add a filter or something so that you can tell the difference more than before.

I think this is a good suggestion, though I’d never use it because I love the alternate voice lines.

no, one of the coolest things about overwatch is the multitude of cultures and languages represented in the game. bit of a weird take imo.

What is racist about it?

The point of having two different ult shoutouts is so everyone knows what team the ulter is on just from audio cues only

Why not? What do you have against foreign cultures? Why does hearing non-english languages trigger you so?

Don’t know, it’s unpleasant to my ears. Maybe because they chose the most annoying languages on earth

No. It’s been that way since the first iteration; and it’s very convenient to know whether an ally or an enemy is ulting. You’re basically complaining about a nonissue and i can bet you’d just get confused if you heard Hanzo’s ally voiceline but see red dragons coming through a wall.

Yeah, totally zero racist undertones with that statement. And by the way, English is regarded as being the most annoying and confusing language in many places.

Of the things wrong with OW2, this is what OP chooses.

Listen man, since you are getting all defensive. I am asking for an option, you won’t lose your precious way of distinguishing between enemies and allies, just dont enable it. Personally i always assume an ultimate is an enemy, unless i see otherwise

Likely because you never learned to pick up audio cues, which is very important in a game like this.

Tell me you’re American without telling me you’re American.

Language is not a race. Fail. My issue is even purely auditory, not even close to racism. But you do you.

Its already hard to differentiate the enemy ult line of Bastion from a teammate one let alone spoken lines
