I know I’m on and off with this mode. Usually I don’t want to bother, stick to QP.
First 2 placements done, 1 loss, 1 win. Lost because somebody quit. Flamed out as Rein in 1st round, but I didn’t quit.
Got flamed for dying, but I didn’t quit. Just playing 1 round of competitive, the players already feel better, or more determined at least.
Won my second placement as widow. First round, I didn’t do much. (I died. I did do that)
Second round, I was able to hold the point a bit before Kiriko shot me in the face. I want to point out that I’m making space while we’re holding the objective.
If the first round ends in a loss, it’s the last 2 that really matter. That’s my time to shine. My shots are finally hitting. I’ve been nervous because it’s competitive this time. Maybe I’m a little tilted from my debacle with Rein.
Somehow I hold my own against Donkey Kong, even get a kill. You’ll see.
Point is, I helped. I didn’t carry, but I helped. I stood on the point and we won the game.
I know I need to be more accurate, and I died too much. But we won and that’s all that matters. 2QDS32
I know my positioning is horrible. I’m getting punished a lot for it. It was a slog.
Can’t believe sombra still getting banned but yea if im playing widow she is the one i would ban too lol…and mercy since they usually tend to rez my kills..my third option is genji since yea counter
Crazy how u can just ban your counters with the ban system
Edit: wait forgot about benditta..probably wouldn’t ban genji then heh
I’m not trying to be mean but that was a genuinely fascinating thing to watch
You stand out in the open half the time with 3-4 players looking at you, you’re scoped in at the ground instead of where someones head might actually be,
you dont react when you get marked, you just stand in the same spot scoped in and die when they all shoot at you. like there’s one fight on volcano where i cannot believe its a human doing this, you walk from spawn, past your point into main and scope in on their whole team, body shot the Orisa, take a torb cheeto but NOT EVEN SCOPE OUT and you dont move and die.
and what makes it a really surreal viewing experience is how slow you look around.
sorry again i really am not trying to be mean but it was a really really weird watch.
I’d love it if you could address this, this time. How do bans make comp less competitive?
I’ve got enough to say as to why it does add to the competitiveness of it all.
And you replied “no” last time. Please try again.
when options are taken away from the opposing team, said team is weakened
when A “competes” against a weakened opponent B - particularly when A performed the action that weakened B in advance of the “competition” - it is no longer a competition
if a team A wishes to actually and truly compete against Team B, Team B should have access to ALL heros
Yes, teamwork is definitely an aspect of the competitive experience and stealing an OTPs hero is what someone who wanted to lose would do. If you have someone who wants to lose against a team that wants to win, you just might lose!
Yes, that’s the entire idea.
“They banned this thing I’m good at, guess I’ll have to play this other character I’m good at and still win”
The only reason it isn’t a competition is because this person can’t play more than one character though?
And is this the lobbies fault, or the player’s fault for only playing one character? It’s not very competitive to only play one character. That is the deifintion of
Because you are telling me you can’t even metaphorically walk (competitively) if a certain character is banned…
