Try to learn a hero, but gets negated by cheap mechanics

Why is this game dev team obsessed with designing heroes and buffing heroes who are essentially hold one button play the game for you that gets equal or more value than a mechanically demanding hero?

Because attracting new players is the hardest thing an established game can do. Making the game easier, makes it more likely that people who try it will stick around.

Tbf, increasing the size of hitboxes and bigger bullets in S9 made this game far easier than buffing heroes like Winston ever did. They’re gradually returning to many of the old breakpoints through the past few balance patches, meanwhile the hitboxes and big bullets stay… meaning it’s easier to hit the same shots and combos than pre-S9.
