I know that at first this idea might sound dumb but couldn’t the devs implement a system similar to csgo’s trust factor system.
If you didn’t know trust factor is a system in csgo that calculates how much you “value” - be nice and legit while playing with your account. This could work in ow based less on stats in ow since ow isn’t really stat based considering there are more things at play compared to csgo’s more strategic and slow paced gameplay.
In ow that could work through a system that would give you the ability to rate every player on your team in different categories: Mechanical skills, teamplay, hero flexibility, encouragement, positivity etc. With a range of Bad-Mediocre-Decent-Good-Excellent and then the game can use this data to match consistent leavers and trolls together along with toxic players. Yes, this would indeed split the playerbase but it would probably be better than having less-than-nice players ruin games.

As a Bastion main even if I am not that bad and in voice chat I think I’ll get like.
-0 mechanical skills, -0 teamplay, -99 hero flexibility, -10 encouragement, and +1 positivity. With a BAD.
I don’t think your idea is dumb at all. I think it would be a nice addition to the game.
I can see it being a nice extension of the LFG system where you can fine-tune it even more and get the exact type of players you expect to see in your games, without harassing your team mates for their profile stats, and also learn more about the way you play. It sounds like a win win. I’d certainly love to try it.

CSGO and OW are different in every single way except they are FPS games. It would never work because people insta tilt when they see certain characters and thing they are no brain no skill heroes.
I know there are characters I think are no skill heroes that don’t belong in the game so they would never get above a mediocre from me because of how much I don’t value their kits or input unless something amazing and game changing happens.
no i don’t really see you having such a bad rating if you don’t onetrick since bastion can use his hitscan aim on other heroes.
