Last night while my team was attacking on Blizzard World, I was playing as Zenyatta and as we reached the second point, the R2 and L2 on my PS4 controller stopped working. Every other button worked so I thought it was the controller but I disconnected and tried other controllers and they all had the same problem. To fix the problem I had to return to spawn, swap to another character and then back. This meant I lost my ult charge but did resolve the issue. I played further games and didn’t experience the problem again but thought I would bring it up.
I also had this issue as Zenyatta on PS4. Was playing on Oasis and for no reason my L2 and R2 stopped working.
Exact same thing happened to me yesterday. Zenyatta on PS4 / triggers stopped working near the end of the round. I thought the controller was the issue, but the next round I played Zenyatta again and everything was fine.
This could be an issue with soft-locking the controls when discording and firing simultaneously. I just had this issue happen to me on Oasis in the second round (I’m playing on Xbox). We were winning the match, I discorded a McCree, got some shots off, then placed my discord orb on a Wrecking Ball that was passing by. I couldn’t fire any shots, even though I had 18 rounds. Eight seconds later, got hooked by Roadhog and died. Couldn’t shoot all the way back from spawn. After the match, immediately went to the Training Room and everything was good.
The problem hasn’t gone away.
Same problem, has happened a few times. No fix in sight? It’s incredibly frustrating
