Cheat makers are constantly updating their stuff to bypass detection. The dev’s anti-cheat needs to be updated to counter it. This usually results in cheaters being banned in waves.

It’s a lot like the back and forth between twitch and adblocks.

The devs don’t want cheaters. There are technical limitations to what they can do though.

They don’t ban until the season end generally. Since when they used to ban throughout the season, they ended up banning people out of their OWL teams one season and it didn’t look good. So now they ban at season end so as not to screw that up.

And the reality is a good, monthly charged (so it is updated and changed frequently) trigger bot with an overlay, never gets banned. Aimbots yes, trigger bots no. Crappy triggerbots yes, but the ones that charge an “upkeep” per month… nope.
