I sometimes get a small edgy shaped and transparent line on the left side of my screen. It seems like some leftover of a previous Background. Any one knows what causes this bug?
I know it is hard to see on the screenshot and it just looks like a shadow there. But it’s actually transparent and stays at place. Screenshot, just replace the XX.

My speculation is that this is either a graphics card artifact, which means your GPU isn’t rendering the environment correctly, or it could be some other program running in Windows with some glitchy overlay.
For artifacting, make sure you are running your settings balanced enough to where the game renders correctly. If you don’t already run at low settings, try bring video settings to low and see if that helps. Also check your GPU for potential overheating.
In the case it might be some sort of program causing an overlay, try checking any other apps running (even in the background of your system tray). Also try checking for background processes, by following this troubleshooting guide:
thank you for your reply. However i found some other people who have the same glitch on the same position in the same shape. Since my GPU doesn’t produce things like that in any other (way more gpu-heavy) games i doubt that this is related to heat (which is in the no-problematic ~60°C all the time).

when you put the screenshots above each other you would see that the position and shape matches each other what would be a very odd coincidence.
I play the game on lowest.
After a long search i found 4-5 people reporting the same issue, some say it would only appear when shadows set on “low” It is hard to notice (since it is transparent) when it appears so many people might not even report it. However i think it’s a Bug. It’s very unlikely that people with different GPUs getting the same Artifacts otherwise.

I’m having the same issue, graphic card is RX570 4GB
I thought my GPU is producing artifacts and dying on me, but now I see it’s not the case. I’ve turned shadows off but don’t see no difference.
