To be fair, this one was only 2 weeks long. The others were 3.
I too have friends who thought it will be 3 weeks long and missed out.

You’ll notice Blizzard tends to run crossover skins in the middle of the month leading up to the months end but ending them just before people get paid to incentivise people to impulse purchase them since once they’re gone, they’re gone.
