Transformers Needs a Hero Shooter Game

How cool would that be?!

Imagine Marvel Rivals meets Armored Core. It would make perfect sense really. Different planets for the maps. Autobots Vs Decepticons (or mixed). Someday, it could be real

It would be really cool!

Until then best we can do is just play the hammer man with the skin equipped and pretend we are a Transformer!

(Got this team wipe with that skin the other day!)

Ayeeee! Congrats!

I love playing matches where my teammates and the enemy team have Transformer skins. Always makes me smile like a kid

Wasn’t gundam evolution already close enough?

Gundam Evolution was actually so much fun and a good replacement for OW to me. Much closer to OW in terms of hero shooters and pacing goes than MR if I’m being completely honest. It’s really a bummer that it got shut down :(((

There is a new Gundam game coming out, though it’s not by Gundam and I don’t know when exactly it’s coming out, it’s called Mecha Break. The game is very detailed and it’s a 6v6 PvP 3rd person hero shooter. Every mech has a different kit and you can customize EVERY single aspect of your character in the customization process. You can even highly customize the Mecha’s colors. Though the controls are a bit confusing at first, it was definitely a game to try out.

Would be great especially they gave voice lines in it. Looks at Starscream kill’s someone. I can’t hear here you.

There was that Transformers Reactivate game announced a few years ago, but there’s been a worrying lack of news about it lately

What if Gundam made a shooter…

I will accept it ONLY if we get Armada Starscream (I’ll one-trick him unless there is Prime Soundwave)

Remember that Gundam game? Exactly.

And I think Gundam would have had a better time with that. Yet it flopped. Hard.

The Soundwave they had for TFO was really cool

Yeah it flopped due to extreme mismanagement.

It had Titanfall Syndrome. It was never given a proper chance to succeed thanks to a plethora of reasons unrelated to the genre itself.

Mecha shooters as a whole are plagued with these issues. My final hopes are that Mecha Break succeeds. Otherwise, this genre is cursed.

It was being developed in Overwatch’s peak era I don’t think it would’ve survived anyways. Maybe NOW it would’ve had a chance but I doubt. Transformers is niche and it would be a hard sell to convince people to play it over Overwatch and now Marvel Rivals

Whoa, crazy!

Welp, i guess it was a flop  Maybe another developer company will revive it someday

I forgot about the Gundam games. Too bad they didnt do well either…

Gundam failed to produce a viable hero shooter, and the Gundam IP inherently provides a pretty deep variety of mechanical designs.

Granted, I think part of the failure was caused by poor execution, but I’m not optimistic that Transformers would lend itself well to the genre or draw in a large enough crowd.

Maybe! Hasbro is scared to fund any crazy transformers media projects after TFOne flopped and their new reactivate game is in development h3ll
