Tracking help/Shaky Hands

I have a pretty bad issue with my hands shaking a lot, and my tracking is pretty horrible due to it. I’m not sure how to fix this issue, or if anyone else experiences this? I feel like I only preform good with non aim heroes, and I don’t feel too good about that. I want to get really good with Ana, but the only way I can play her and not miss every shot is if my sensitivity is 3, but I practically break my arm just to turn around at that sens. :frowning:

How do you grab/hold the mouse? Do you kind of ‘claw it’ when you hold it? Try to flatten, or rest your hand loose on the mouse and see if that helps. Also, try to relax your shoulders as well.

You drink caffeine?

If yes, stop doing that.

So your arms are shaking - so you can’t play well with aim heroes
But you don’t want to play noaim heroes

What are you asking exactly?

I have a friend who I play with pretty regularly and he has the same issue.
He almost always plays Rein, or Mercy. Recently I have talked him into playing some Winston also.
I can’t really say he has been able to play aim based heroes.

Buy new hands on IKEA ! No but seriously, should go to a doctor and see if you can get help that way. =)

There’s nothing wrong with having a low sensitivity. In fact, it’s quite beneficial for certain heroes.

When I started playing Soldier, I went to sensitivity of 2 with 2000 mouse DPI giving me an effective 4000 DPI meaning, that I need to move my mouse 34.64 centimeters to make a 360 degree turn. And it worked great. My accuracy drastically improved and could do really smooth tracking on targets such as Genji.

Later, when I started to play Tracer, while my tracking was decent, I was unable to turn rapidly enough. So I increased it to 5k eDPI giving me a 27 cm 360 turn. And while it did take a while to adjust to it, it wasn’t nearly as long as it took me to go from a high sens to 4k eDPI

I know that for folks who have hand tremors, wearing wrist weights can be really helpful - or a heavier mouse!

If you’re worried about your hands shaking in general you could use beta-blockers (ya know, doctor fun!)

thank you guys for the insight ^^ I’ll definitely try these things out <3

Have you considered a vertical mouse? For many people twisting the hand down causes more strain on the muscle and exacerbates shakeyness. Might be worth looking into.

You might try a thumbwheel mouse too. I know you’ll always suffer compared to a regular mouse with one but it might be just better for YOU.

This is what I want to see more of the community, all that toxic talk is pretty aimless. But to aim to be good to others and supportive like this will show others that the mindset of the community is aimed at being competitively kind and supportive.

GOod luck with your shakes!

try 3.5 sens, it usually works for most people. also shaky hands is not that bad, some of the best aimers in the game have ‘shaky’ aim. The thing is the more you play the better ur aim gets, the longer u stay on your sens the better your aim gets.
