so one knife pull and you can blink backwards 3 times and be pulled closer in during every blink. what’s up with that team 4? is that supposed to happen?

Could be a bug, could be a physics quirk if Queen’s yoink is multiple small pulls rather than one big one, so each time you blink it wants to pull you back to where you were.
But I’ve never seen someone mention this before so I’m leaning towards bug or latency issue.

That’s how cc interacts with Blink and isn’t just JQ. If Lucio boops you and you immediately Blink forward, the Blink will go nowhere for the same reason. Blink can’t cancel cc right when it starts; it’ll be overridden.

Possibly, but I’m not sure if it’s completely tied to momentum. Blink won’t have like a half distance or anything, it’ll work and go 7 meters or it’ll go nowhere. And you can still Blink normally in the middle of cc, just not right at the start

Jq’s knife has got some weird code in it. I’ve made a video and a bug post about it, doubt they read it. Because I’ve made much serious bug posts and they’re still in the game.
But one of the bugs for jq’s knife I know of is that for some hero’s when they use their movement abilities as being pulled, sometimes it cancels their movement ability outright and sometimes it’s the opposite and their ability takes priority. And sometimes the knife just doesn’t pull, mostly around stairs and ledges. So I bet it’s somehow related to one of these bugs. I gave up reporting ow bugs a while ago.

It has some new strangeness when used by Tanks now.
There’s some limited aerial control similar to Lucio’s Soundwave or Wrecking Ball’s bumps where you can control the trajectory of where you move or how you move with pushed or pulled. Queen’s knife works the same way and this means that if you push towards the direction of the pull or push, it can magnify how far you are pushed and pulled.
Queen’s knife has about the the same level of priority as Lucio’s Soundwave (it basically seems to operate on the same properties, even). Some players will get pulled pretty hard if they’re pushing towards her direction.
When you’re pulling a target above you on a ledge, it’ll do the old Seismic Slam slam thing and do a short hop before it pulls you down. This is apparently because the pull is locking on to Queen and trying to get you to her location as quickly as possible; kinda similar to how Hook works, and it seems to be hard coded to land you directly in front of her.
It used to be that Knife could pull your target well past you and behind you in some cases, it doesn’t seem to do that anymore.
I think it has to do with the “can’t control aerial movement” state. Not sure if it’s intended or not.
Yeah but with the way the hero should function I would think, even if that is the case, the first blink should be cc’d, then she’s in a neutral state and can blink twice in either direction.
The Blink doesn’t reset it, so if you do it multiple times in rapid succession all three might go nowhere
Yeah it’s pretty bad. It should be a skill check I think. If a tracer expends 1 blink to neutralize, and 1-2 more to get away, they had 2-3 at the moment and worse players will get punished.
I don’t wanna be cc’d longer than a flashbang while they can still shoot lol (unlike hook where you can’t).
They still get a free headshot with the initial pull/failed first blink anyways.

I’ll just try to avoid it, but that’s a 6 second cooldown ability lol… I need to try and pay attention to her throwing animation. Hog hook is 6 seconds too but I feel like it’s much more noticable both from the visual space it takes lurching out to you on the screen and the long body windup.
it can be avioded but its tricky depending on the skill of the person playing as jq as some can hit its intended target while someone not exp with her usually misses
