Tracer vs Hanzo

I am having so many problems with this matchup lately, and it is just tilting the holy heck out of me. As Tracer, I just can’t beat Hanzo. Even if he doesn’t use Scattuh B.S, it’s like his primary fire is magnetised to my head, they just don’t seem to miss at all. Even if I juke they just 180 flick shot GG. I’m just constantly getting killed over and over and over again by Hanzo and it’s absolutely maddening.

Plz help.

Engage him from behind.

Thats called a counter.

isnt it handjobs gimmick that he can 360noscope and then miss 10 shots afterwards?

Tracer Hanzo duel is pretty much entirely luck. As a Hanzo player, the most annoying thing about tracer is her blinks - if you manage your blinks well he can’t hit you at all. Blink just under every second as he will usually try to full charge his shots, try blinking behind him as well as many hanzo players will have lower sensitivities. If he hits you once, recall, as a fully charged shot + melee kills you without headshot.
Blink usage is key, other than that it is pretty much dependent on whether the hanzo gets lucky enough to hit a tiny fast moving target that can dodge his projectiles - that or you are just walking in a straight line, never do that vs a projectile user.

If you are decent with Hanzo, you should be a counter to Tracer. Just watch Seagull playing Hanzo. He invented “Tracism”

My advice is to play hanzo.

I mained tracer for all of the seasons except like 6 or 7 where I one tricked hanzo for half the season. I can confirm that he is beyond a shadow of a doubt the hardest counter to tracer in the game for ladder play. I’m not even considering scatter arrow as a factor towards this, either.

Play hanzo against tracer for a while. You’ll notice patterns that make it easy to kill tracers. For example, when you blink horizontally when fighting him, do you also continue strafing in the blink direction? Flicking to match a blink isn’t hard, but if you have a 80% chance of being predicted by the hanzo because your movement is predictable, they’ll probably always land that shot.

You also get a feel for how close is too close. You don’t even have to aim at their head when they’re in your face. You just get a free headshot.

I had a huge problem cause I preserve blinks at all costs. But with him if you have good aim blink through him and almost immediately blink back again to your previous spot and lay into him while he is still looking for your new location. You one clip him before he knows what happens. Or you die cause he’s a pain lol

That’s a good thing. It’s not like Tracer can’t have any counters. She’s faster than Hanzo and can zip around him. A good Hanzo will stand still and flick-shot.

And Tracer is annoying to fight against as Hanzo. So I’m okay with lucky shots.

Jelly has the same problem. I usally best hanzo in a fight because of how slow he is, but what makes it so frustrating is it only takes one lucky hit and your done😂

It’s like that with most characters. I’m Soldier, get hanzo down to 5 hp, random arrow to the head, I’m done. He was missing every shot except that one🤣

I see even grandmasters struggle with Hanzo on twitch. Logs too big.
