Tracer Punk skin voice line

How have I missed this being in the game? :joy:
The “wan***” voice line is the one I’m referring to.

Quite like it myself as a Brit, but I was so surprised to hear it in this game. It’s considered a bit of a curse/offensive language over here which I’m surprised Blizzard was ok with using it.

Gave me a good laugh as I wouldn’t expect that sort of language to pop up in the game.

It’s only hearable if you de-activated the elusive and fabled “Profanity Filter”

I had the impression of british people using wan*** a lot.

We curse like there is no tomorrow.

The “C” word is thrown around a lot but I’d never expect it in game :joy:

Don’t ask why, but offensive terms are not only used to offend, but as greetings, as exclamations, or just general fillers in sentences.
A similar aspect I noticed to Australian’s (go figure) in my time out there.

That’s interesting. Any other similar voice lines to that if the filter is off? Seems to be the only one I have heard.

I mean i know what you mean, I usually greet my friends with curse words and they do it right back at ya.

Nope, only Anarchist/Punk Tracer has those lines.

They were already taking a big risk having those in game.

Just imagine if they had a higher age rating? What would happen to the Sales?

Nothing would change because moms still buy 13 yo’s COD

Brigitte’s version of “damn” (which your character will say when you get discorded) is “fan”.

I got really surprised when I heard it the first time, as a Swede. The word is considered an actual curseword, similar to the F-word in English in terms of “value”.

I mean I am Swedish too, Nice meeting another Swede here btw, But I wouldn’t say “Fan” is as worse as lets say… F word or C word… Or wan***.

Of course. You sent all your best people over here.

Americans shout the f word around and puts it anywhere in sentences to express frustration or seriousness, just like we do with fan and jävla. They might be overused, but they’re definitely considered actual swears - compared to “damn” which isn’t really a swear.

Another note is that fan is an old Christian swear (satan) which Blizzard usually decides to avoid.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not offended by it or want it out of the game, I find it kinda funny.

in the german version junkrat sometimes says “scheiße”
which translates to the more eviler word for poo
explains why the game is 16+ over hea

Mate it’s british slang

Let the Brit’s use their slang

“cuppa” is slang, “chuffed” is slang.
“Wan***” is slang but it’s offensive slang.

I have no issues with it, as I said, I’m a Brit so I quite liked hearing a bit of offensive slang come up in a game I wouldn’t expect it.
I’m just curious why it’s one of the few obscenities Blizzard includes in their game.

I’d quite like to see a few more regional curse/insults replaced in this removed filter option.
It’s nothing harmful but it’s quite humourous

I think there was a Widow Line that may have been removed from game that was german/french that meant SHI* which was triggered when someone busted / destroyed her venom mine.
