Recall really should return her to her HP at 3 seconds prior to its usage, not the the highest health in the past 3 seconds.
Currently, if Tracer is at 85 HP, is pocketed by a Mercy for 2 seconds (putting her at full HP), then takes a Hanzo body shot, then when she recalls, instead of returning to 85 HP, she goes back to 150 HP.
My proposition is just that she goes back to the 85 HP she started at.
That has definitely not stopped 90% of the nerfs that heroes have gotten from, you know…happening.
Not that I want a Tracer nerf (yet) but “clunky” is not something I believe is on their radar. Gotta admit some of their nerfs are just outright sloppy.
I agree. Brigitte’s kit is currently a necessity since it’s almost the only thing keeping Tracer in check so if we tuned Tracer just a bit it would make space for Brigitte to be tuned into a softcounter for Tracer for example by adding 0.3s windup time on shield bash for more proactive play, but the current direction of Brigitte is opposite of that as they enforce her role and the main reasons she’s good against Tracers (as high tier players don’t get one-shotted unless it’s a surprise flank) while nerfing her against 200hp heroes.
You’re right, it did happened to Widowmaker.
Everyone thought it’s not a hard nerf, “making her scope charge time slightly longer” - look what that did. It took forever for them to reduce the charge time back up.
Imagine they add 0.7 sec to Sombra’s hack or reduce it. It can turn a hero from being op to throw pick and vice versa.
These suggestion think it’s a “small nerf”, but I hope they won’t touch her blinks, ever.
Oh, definitely. I’m not agreeing with OP. I’d rather keep the discussion going on topics like this since that’s what creates better decision-making and thought processes.
To me, a slight nerf - and I’m not suggesting this, just giving an example of what “slight” is in my mind - is like…Tracer’s blink move her .2 meter less. Lol.
LIke, really small. Because with Soldier’s buff to his spread not kicking in until a few more bullets had a really good impact on him. Small changes should be small, and can be really good.
Lowering her pistol falloff range from 11m to 8 to 7m would be the ideal Tracer nerf for me. It forces her to play into her counter danger zone so like McCree’s flashbang, Roadhog’s shotgun range, Brigitte’s range, etc. If she wants to fight them, then she has to take the risk to try outplay them rather than like playing a 10m engagement on McCree and win by that.
I wouldn’t mind if they do that because it is her ideal range to fight in so she can weave in her bread and butter combo: Blink + melee.
Considering that so much of the game is about delivering sharp spikes of damage and Tracer is struggling to be relevant at all with Brig’s armor packs able to fly around to heal her targets, I really don’t think Tracer needs a nerf. I mean, do you play Tracer at all? These days it feels like bringing a couple of water pistols to an actual pistol fight.
I propose -1 damage on her pistols so she can’t gank people as quickly (adjust ult charge to compensate if we really have to). I’d keep her mobility because that is what makes her unique.
