Tracer needs a nerf

Ever seen a character in a game have the advantage against everything just by existing? Low aim requirement, OP mobility, entire kit is easy mode. Nerf it. Over extend and 1v6? Get outplayed? Outskilled? Just press a button and it all goes away.

Wow… Thats a new one… esspecially since every hero that can’t be 1v1ed by

seems to get hit by the nerf hammer so that that property goes away.

Huh? I don’t play Tracer really, i really hate good Tracer on enemy team but they can be dealt with. Tracer is rather hard to play well.

Sombra also has a ‘get out of jail free card’ a stronger one at that and the same sustained dps which matters when a one clip is rarely happening. She trades off mid fight mobility for utility but in a lot of ways they are quite similar.

You know what they also have in common? Neither perform well until the top one percent of the playerbase. They must be really easy to play!

Calling Tracer easy deserves to be its own world class meme. Imagine the same crap happening in a moba where the super high skill cap hero that performs terribly everywhere outside top tiers then get called easy by people at like 50 percentile or below. I’ve literally never seen it. OW is only community dumb enough

Does Tracer need buffs, then? Obviously not, because in the right hands she’s absolutely devastating. But by your reasoning, perhaps she should gain +50 armor, or a tighter spread, yeah?

The reason Tracer has a low win-rate is because most players who pick her have a poor grasp on how to play her. However, that doesn’t imply that players who are skilled with her are proportionately rewarded for mastering her kit, nor does it imply that her effectiveness when played optimally is fair compared to other heroes. The latter two conclusion do not follow from the first.

Tracer is still a hero that can move unpredictably and force most heroes into hiding, even forcing her counters to make straight-up guesses about when to use their abilities. Additionally, she can absolutely undo all damage done to her even if she does get caught.

Her’s is not a kit that gauges skill proportionately. And I know that Overwatch is all over the place with how skill-dependent its heroes are. But given that Tracer is oppressive when played optimally, it suggests that her upper-range is not in line with the rest of the roster.

Remember that Brig’s toxic bullcrap was brought into the game because Tracer was basically deemed toxic bullcrap.

Don’t be ridiculous, obviously I don’t think that. I was responding to the OP’s arguments.

She’s not exactly good in high ranks right now though? And don’t forget that not only has Brig, who remains a Tracer hard counter even after her nerfs, been added to the game, pretty much all of Tracer’s other counters have been buffed too. And Tracer herself got her ult nerfed. Even if Brig was removed from the game right now Tracer would still be weaker than she was before.

What year is it? Since Brigitte and her pulse bomb nerf, Tracer hasn’t been doing great. She doesn’t need a nerf. I personally think they should revert the pulse bomb change.
