Tracer is useless

I’m sorry, why do mercy and even baby Dva have more consistent damage than Tracer does. It’s almost impossible as tracer to 1v1 the majority of the healers in the game with the ridiculous amount of times she has to reload in a fight.

Sure her mobility gives her survivability, but what’s the point of being mobile when every team fight you’re just tickling the enemy team until you decide to switch off and actually get a pick. Characters like Sombra and Genji are just as survivable and can actually do damage. What’s the point of picking Tracer at all?

You mean supports. And supports aren’t meant to be free kills. It should not be “consistent” going 1v1 against a support character, it should cause a risk. It’s just that many flankers became accustomed to the fact it’s easy to kill supports and if it becomes more difficult - they fail. Sure it was great for a Tracer to one-clip a support, but it wasn’t fun for that support character.

Learn to team up. Play with your another DPS and/or tank. Dive composition isn’t about going yolo-solo and it never was at the state when it was balanced. It was always a tank enabling it, a DPS securing kills and a support keeping them alive. Keyword: securing. It doesn’t mean soloing 100-0 and getting away.

Are getting nerfed because they are OP. Yes.

Pretty much, yes. But the issue also lies in weakness of supports in general. Or rather - too high of an expectation bar to perform just “okay”. Having 3 jobs is hard. It’s good to see devs think of doing something with supports but I wonder if that will be enough. It’s already that now queue times can be 10 minutes easily.

not useless but just way harder. shes good at creating crossfires but unless you have insane mechanics you should just play a different hero.

Just be GM 5head

I’ve always felt that this damage nerf per bullet is a terrible idea

i think they gutted her damage a bit to make there male heroes severely OP but that shouldnt surprise you as the ceo is a POS

Just… stop. We have OP Sojourn and Sombra. They hard-counter all that petty virtue signalling. Both by gender and race.

Good and Genji is next. Hit Widow and the game might be fun for support

I never found Genji OP, just hard to track him on controller after he dashes behind.

As for Sombra, I always find myself soloing the supports and dps (sometimes tank, but that usually requires no situational awareness or another tank fighting them) to getting away scot free until they went beacon-hunting. I even escaped that situation for not being as squishy as Tracer.

Nah you’re just getting diffed. Tracer being able to one clip squishies wasn’t balanced for the game at all. If you’re being consistently swished by a support they’re literally just playing better than you and you should learn to respect other heros more.

what on earth are you talking about. Tracer is an incredible duelist and wins the majority of 1v1s… I hate to say it, but this is a massive skill issue. Tracer always has and always will be at least overtuned if not OP at top level and has to be balanced around that. If you’re salty about it, git gud and enjoy the hero with arguably the highest carry potential in the entire game (when there isnt a giga ultra mega omega busted dps like sojourn competing)

unironically yes because the alternative (balancing her for outside masters+) means that she has a massive rework that kills arguably the most iconic and balanced high skill hero in the game

Its consistency vs burst vs ease of use.

  • Genji has very low burst damage and sustain, but has easy to use damage.
  • Tracer has high burst damage, but hard to use damage.
  • Sombra is sort of in the middle. Her burst is tied to hack requiring set-up, but enough sustain to alleviate missing too many shots.

i think its fricked up that genji can jump into back line and just kill nerds for free, i think solo dives shouldnt just be free kills and that tracer shouldnt be compared to current genji in terms of viability because genji is overviable. in my opinion dives should need either some coordination, some exploitation of resources or awareness, or some longplay for results to be warranted.
ive been playing her and i tracer is a pretty solid fit for overwatch 2. theres a lot you can accomplish with her and sure maybe some games are hard for her but theres usually some value she can find at any given point. and when there isnt theres no shame in having to switch heroes every now and then. and in good tracer games where youre diving with your winston shes still insaane.

i will say though is kiriko is really hard to fight into =m=, with suzu saves plus you have to retreat the moment u take one dagger.

ive been sayin it over and over today but if ur gonna buff her just give her some recall cooldown -1 or 2 to give her more uptime, i dont think she needs the damage back.

no its not bait the CEO is a literal pos of a human being that sees women as inferior

Their CEO is not the one balancing the game

Sojourn, Zarya, Sombra, and Kiriko are literally the best heroes in the game right now

but the devs have to follow orders from the CEO or get fired

They definitely over did it with her nerfs
