so you have a small pro-tank nerf and a hard counter coming to competitive soon, and yet some people are STILL asking for more nerfs? just admit it, what some of you really want is tracer to become a throw character in most circumstances like torb, sym and doomfist. or deleted from the game.

that is literally her entire point, she’s made to be annoying and can only get things done if ignored, just because you can’t handle something being annoying in a game doesn’t mean she needs to be nerfed more.
by the way, protip: if 4-5 of you (everyone who’s not a tank) turned around at the exact same time and looked at a tracer and just held left click in their general direction she would likely die before she could even react. then you can get back to what you were doing after a few hundred milliseconds.

I honestly have seen statistics showing an overdue and prone to a nerf.
However, these changes will not affect her too badly honestly.

Statistics and data are on the side of her being balanced. Anecdotes (like smurfs for example, or her being effective in an environment she’s meant to be effective in) and emotions (like being annoyed(?)) are on the side of nerfing her.

If it can be a reason for a full rework for Mercy (and 1.0 Mercy could only dream of the kind of lengthy dominance that Tracer has enjoyed) than it’s a good enough reason to give a minor nerf to Tracer.
However, that isn’t the reason Tracer is being nerfed. She’s being nerfed because she’s been over-performing when compared to the other DPS for quite some time now.
It’s on the side of her not being nerfed in plat, but luckily the game isn’t balanced around plat, even if hilariously, a lot of the Tracer haters want it to be.

Same was applied to Sombra. She was nerfed because of the OWL. A simple tweaking here and there and she would have been fine.
The sad moral story is that this game slowly being balanced around the league. 
I actually think the nerf they did was perfect. Her bomb was a huge reason characters like bastion and to a less extent rein arent played as much. Theres no reason to invest in those characters if the enemy tracer can just delete u from the game.
This still doesn’t sacrifice anything else about her just her pulse doesn’t delete tanks, it can still kill every other 200 hp target just fine
Not platinum. Every rank except Grandmaster, including, you know, Master… even then if you are going by pickrates, D.Va still needs a nerf more than Tracer. I’m talking mostly about winrates though, not pickrates.
D.Va just got nerfed. If she doesn’t fall into place she should be nerfed again.
This still doesn’t excuse Tracer’s absurd strength in top level play.

It’s pointless to nerf further before we see what effects she will have on Tracer in both GM and OWL. Whether you think it will affect her much or not, we need to see first because it’s impossible to tell at this point.
but thats exactly why genji got nerfed lol. People like playing genji because he’s a cool ninja that goes fast and deflects bullets. So they put in heroes like moira and briggite and buff heroes like mei and sombra and winston so that they have a billion different options to kill him now. Now it looks like tracer is next on the list.
I’m not arguing against counters, I’m arguing against further nerfs.
I mean genji also had nerfs beforehand as well. Pretty much everyone agreed that he was balanced and he only had a high pickrate in quickplay. I think since genji has finally been run into the dirt simply because people didnt like getting deflected, tracer might be next with her blinks or her recall or something.
i agree, people made posts about junk being op when junk was f tier because they refused to learn how to play against him, a character being perceived as annoying isn’t a good reason to nerf
also i like how everyone freaked out about bridge and made endless threads about how she needed to be nerfed… but they wanted counters.
