I see, yeah decimal numbers are possible, not exactly sure how they work exactly, but yes, Ramatra does 4.5 dmg per pellet, Reaper does 5.4, dont see why Tracer cant do 5.5.
I see, yeah if decimal was a problem i can see that, problem only arises if the ROF becomes too overbearing and unrealistic to look at but idk.
Decimals are a viable number to have so i guess not a problem.
Will take a lot to let me down me now with this low expectations i have outa them, would surprise me more if the nailed the mid-season patch and actually nerfed Tracer, more than anything.
She didnt deserve a thing, Sojourn and Kiriko getting “nerfed” and the DPS passive getting changed to favor her more than the other flankers was already enough to catapult her into a very viable meta pick.
Without a single bit of buffing to her kit, absolute 3head move outa the “balance” team with that one.
Remember when everyone was complaining about the falloff bug making her OP (Even though it really didn’t). 5 damage was definitely tickling range. You might as well have been throwing carrots at your enemy.
6 damage is strong, but only in the right scenarios. Most of my games on tracer have just been mediocre so far. Some have been terrible. I’ve only had one game where I’ve done really well, and she’s easily my best character. So much shuts her down nowadays since everyone does so much damage.
Given that Ram’s ult does damage in decimals (I’m sure there’s other examples) it’s probably plenty doable.
5.5 is probably not enough to make a meaningful difference in HP break points so they just went with 6. Personally I feel like they could have adjusted her damage drop off as a reasonable buff. Even when it was bugged and gave her a huge benefit it wasn’t over tuned.
Beyond that I feel like they could buff her by making her reload quicker and/or giving her a bigger magazine. Her damage itself should never really be anything other than 5.
I already suggested that overwatch should have an bigger pool of numbers for HP, damage and heals. So you don’t get in a situation where one damage can break balance (as it happens with soldier sometimes).
idk man, with 5 dmg per bullet she was a solid A tier character. she was fine pre-buff. but now they shadow buffed her with being invulnerable to targets that she’s pulse bombed.
ok. in exchange the recall no longer has that slight delay and/or pulse bombs are thrown further.
if youre gonna nerf tracer after she has finally become a real character. theres gonna be some compensation
NaniOWO Can you elaborate on the “being invulnerable to targets that she’s pulse bombed”?
