As odd as the topic is, this sounds like the perfect origin for an Overwatch character.
Presumably, Tracer and the baby would rewind however amount of time and the baby would simply be born again; no missing brains or anything.

That makes me think of the Rick and Morty do-over device – like, Tracer will do the biggest recall of her life, going back years and just undoing her whole baby haha

Recall also reloads her gun.
So it does affect objects, and it does affect things outside of her.

Thats purely gameplay though. In her cinematics none of the items she drops recalls with her. The infant would not be in her hands after she gave birth.
Mercy cannot canonically rez. Zenyatta does not canonically heal. Tracer canonically recalls.

Well duh the baby is non canon lol.
But Im using canon to spitball ideas. Thats the best way to look at it. So non canon gameplay functions wouldnt be used in this scenario because op is curious about how it would go down. So looking at her canon character is how you go about it.
This is obviously a meme thread, but based on my very limited understanding of Tracer’s power from the science of the lore she either blinks forward or recalls to a set point in time.
So if I follow it right it’s basically like skipping forward a scene or back a scene on a DVD. If Tracer recalled she’d be pregnant while the child was already born.
Though since Tracer eludes proper time functionality I doubt she can even get pregnant. Seems like the harness keeps her anchored to a general world timeline but her own timeline seems stalled or broken as she hasn’t shown any signs of aging since her accident like 10 years ago.

True. I forgot about that. In this case, the device would still only be attached to Tracer. I guess when the baby is no longer part of her is the question now.

Hmm…another question. I think she should be able to as long as her accelerator is working properly, but I don’t know for sure.

Based on how interactions with items work, she would clone the baby. When she throws a pulse bomb(a detached entity) then recalls, the bomb persists, but she goes back to the exact second in time she recalls to.
In theory, if the baby was “queued up” so to speak, the baby she already delivered would persist, but she would deliver another.
Then again, she’s able to recall her pistols back to their previously loaded state. So perhaps she could do the same with a child.
I guess really, its up to tracer. What made you think of this lol

Tracer just…Doesn’t…Get a baby? Simple enough? As in: She won’t have a child? At least, not coming out of her? I don’t think we’ll see anything like that off of Tracer tbh. It’s A, a much too complex topic, and B, She can’t take care of such when she’s saving the world? Idk, I see too many complications and difficulties and such with this happening to the point and extent that I don’t think it’ll happen, simple enough.

My friend is having a baby tonight and I was playing OW while waiting to hear updates, ha. The ammo being back in the gun was my basis for the cloning idea. Maybe she could spawn a whole army if she kept giving birth right after her CD was up. Would be a miserable few days, though.
If we’re looking at it practically, Tracer would never carry a baby. She doesn’t like men, and if they ever wanted to have a baby implanted, i would think Emily would be the obvious choice with tracer having chronal dissociation and being involved in frequent dangerous combat.
So if it helps ease your mind, i don’t think this would ever happen lol
