I have some games where the support will actively refuse to heal me. If I’m out of position and I die, whatever. That’s on me. If I stay with the team and get picked, whatever. Not a big deal. When I’m right in front of my support and they let me die over and over again, I start asking for healing. Then they get super toxic and quit healing me. They will just stare at me while I’m low on health. What the hell is wrong with some people?
Report them and move on.
Did you insult them in any way? If not… well shot.
Do you spam for healing? Cause if anything pisses me off its someone that constantly spams I need healing, like there arent 4 others i need to take care off.
This is pretty much it. Say it once and we’ll heal you when possible. If you spam it over and over constantly, it does nothing but piss the healers off. It could just be you were out of their sight lines or even behind them so they had no clue where you were
Also I love your name
I can’t duplicate stupid ~WildPants
What support hero was that, and was that person focuing on pocketing main tank whole game only to keep themself alive?
Not defending the support, but at the moment, many times one of healers is either focusing healing tanks, or front line is deleted quite fast. So many people picking supports like ana, do mostly healing on front line tanks.
In my experience the most toxic mains are Moira mains by far. Sometimes I think they are LARPing as her. They are always the one who says “come back” in a tired sounding, patronising voice. It’s a bit easier for you to do that with a fade ability, try being a tank with a massive hitbox and no movement abilities.
Then they regale everyone with tales of what everyone else should have done differently (information which, by the way, is completely redundant because the last fight already happened).
I start spamming when it reaches the point that they are staring at me and not healing me. I’m livid at that point.
stop taking damage and you’ll don’t need help from this villain healers…
who do you want to make believe us that you saying nothing toxic toward them ?
when a player pick a support, they are here to help - most of the time - their teamates… But they are humans too… if you are rude with them… maybe you’ll have to think about your behavior
after that point maybe your are a very nice teamate, and you just fall with bad players…
once or two it’s totaly possible to crossing mad person… but if you only see mad persons everywhere… perhaps you are the one is mad ^^
It’s not toxic support dps or tank players
It’s toxic people.
Stop making this role wars between roles.
Victim blaming, of course.
Yeah. I can chase down medpacks. Not all the time though. And it has a long respawn. And TTK is really low in this game now…
Sure, you can say they are there to help. It doesn’t mean they are playing their character well. It would be like me choosing Widow, saying I’m here to help my team kill stuff, and then trying to machine gun the enemy tanks the entire game.
I will return the toxicity after a certain point. I’m no angel.
That sucks man. I have no clue why some support players outright refuse to heal someone who they don’t like. I mean its free ult charge. When someone pisses me off I just keep doing my job and avoid them after the match. I main support btw.
Dude. I have to put a subject for the post. I want people to know what I’m talking about. This post is about support players who become toxic and refuse to heal people. It’s not a damn role war. Jesus. Obviously, people in every role get toxic. No other role can screw you over quite like a support character that won’t heal you.
You could make the same post about toxic DPS and tanks.
Just stop with the role vs. role nonsense, it’s not helpful to anyone and this makes you look toxic more than anyone else.
It isn’t role vs role. Jesus you people are making issues out of non-issues. You have to give a subject line for the post. I made it clear what this post was going to be about. I didn’t make the subject “ONLY SUPPORT PLAYERS ARE TOXIC” so please stop.
There are bad apples in every role. As a mercy main, sorry. Healing is much more stressful now and days with tanks having a harder time. I find myself having to prop up the tanks more and more. Less tanking in the the tank role or less healing/utility in the support role because of nerfs over and over again.
i don’t know… when i play dps, i say “hello” sometimes up to say “ty” when my life line was very thin and a support save it, or when they help me…
i respect them.
I have 99% of a very good support mates experience, but…
i never say something about the playstyle of my mates… never spam “i need healing”, if i use it, it’s rare and only once, and only to give my supports an information, if they can’t… they can’t. Point.
i am the only one responsible to taking damage, by my own error, if they can help me i’m happy and grateful, and if they can’t… i temporize : going back, health pack, hidding myself, pray, and what else…idk ^^ but i never blame them for a situation i gone in, myself
I understand your point. it can come, that supports players, like all humans have a bad moment… and become toxic like everyone else… butfor me players dont come in game with toxic mind, most of the time it’s a reaction of defense…
Just before blaming about them, ask you if you do all you can do, to make them positive and having a good attitude. after all this is your “social sens” it’s part of the game. give them the envy to do the maximum for you.
you guess they are toxic… Are you really believing that adding more toxicity is the answer ?
But i say it clarly, for me, support players are the more positive and cheering players in a team… simply because they dont have another choice, they can’t doing nothing by themselves
Even better when you are the second support
I feel your pain. For some reason, Blizzard thinks I want to watch a bunch of pro dps battle one another. I don’t. I want to be able to play my role in game effectively. And I can’t really do that with all the insane damage buffs they keep putting out.
Never forget half the players are half-savage 14 year-olds… you cannot expect anything but irrational emotion and nothing approaching logic or fairness.
Say one word to impress upon them to play differently and they follow a pattern: wait oh about 1-3 minutes for you to make some routine error, then try to call it out like “nice ult” or “can you not aim” and then more often than not either a buddy on the team or spectating half-savage starts attacking you, followed usually at the end of the match with an attempt to usually lie about you to the other team to engage in what sociologists call “mobbing”. Seen it dozens of times, its predictable.
How many players, esp. even Support mains don’t even turn on team health bars do you think?
I do all three roles equally, and the most smart-mouthed players are usually Supports for some reason. They think they are entitled for doing healing, and in turn for some reason think they have a better vantage on the flow of a game from the back usually.
